Review: The sophomore release on Miami's Alchemista comes from Translate (Teo Pellegrino) and Joel Pulso, two rising Argentinian producers who join forces for some seriously mental techno excursions on 'Cuadricular Dreaming Pannel'. The first side of this essential 12' features the hypnotic interplanetary minimalism of 'Specific Angles' reminiscent of classic Sleeparchive, followed by the majestic and cyclical title track which this time takes its cues from Jeff Mills' unmistakable Axis sound. Over on the flip, the title track is treated to a surefire remix by the inimitable Oscar Mulero, head of Pole Group, who manages to inject more dancefloor dynamics into the arrangement, accentuating the spacey elements underpinned with a stronger rhythm department while staying true to the vibe of the original.

Review: It's no mean feat to clock up 30 releases but that's what the reliable German label Key Vinyl does here. The honour of being the name on the wax this time round is given to Translate and Pulse who pair up for four funky and stylish techno tracks. The first 'Ocular Optics' is full of bounce and modulated synth ripples while 'Global Agreement' cuts loose on more manic melodic patterns that call to mind early Jeff Mills. The lashing synths and cantering drums of 'Nodes 2926' make for a fine peak time ride and then 'Backup Quest' layers eerie and haunting organ chords with edgy melodies and thumping kicks.

Review: Sequel Records kicks off their journey with a bang, unleashing First Sequence, a four-track release that plunges deep into the realms of late 90s techno nostalgia. Each track boasts its own distinct flavor while collectively paying homage to the era's pioneering sounds.
'Large Room' by Linear System opens the gates with unrelenting force, channeling the spirit of techno luminaries like Surgeon and Bryan Zentz. Its hard-hitting beats and hypnotic loops make it a formidable dancefloor weapon, sure to keep the energy pulsating. Flipping over to Side 2, Linear Phase takes listeners on a journey through the cosmos with 'Weak Signal.' Laden with sci-fi vibes and a heavy, ominous beat, this track immerses listeners in a dystopian sonic landscape that is sinister. Closing out the release, Translate transports us to the outer reaches of the universe with 'Plasma.' Drawing inspiration from the iconic sounds of Jeff Mills' Axis label, this track delivers a spacey, futuristic atmosphere layered atop a foundation of relentless techno rhythms. With its diverse array of tracks, this release sets a strong precedent for what's to come from this exciting new label.
