Review: The queen of funky drops this effervescent slab of brilliance featuring mixes from label head Scratcha DVA and the unstoppable pairing of L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok. Cooly's "Dis Boy" first surfaced as part of her Dub Organizer series, and here gets a bubbly refix from Scratcha, who brings the rhythmic fire, a set of slow-release organ stabs and an expanding set of droning strings that make the mix live up to its "Hi Emotions" tagline. DVA's "Jelly Roll" is simply a classic, and in the hands of the Night Slugs supremos it's made even more kaleidoscopic as they beef up the up/down synthline and flesh out the percussion hits. Low-key and grimey, DVA's "32DA4" rounds off this essential single with some minimal drums and growling bass. Titans of future-funky united on one crucial release.

Review: South Africa vs London: Scratch DVA reaches out to Durban's Menzi for this exciting exploration between gqom and grime. Both movements sonically characterised by minimalism, space, dynamic percussion and heavyweight bass, the dots are ready to join as both artists weave in and out of each other's palette, remixing each other's work and pushing each other's sound in different directions. The end result is a club-ready sound that can unite DJs across the bass/beat continuum.

Review: Neither Scratcha DVA, nor any of these legendary tracks and artists on this release need any introduction. It's taken about eleven years but the two highlights of "DREAMEATER 007" - A side "Kill All A' Dem" and "Taliban"- finally see the light of day. On the B side, we have the man remixing Mega's "Dangerous Liasons" in wonky street level fashion before he turns his deft hand to take on scene hero Wiley's "Apocalypto", churning out an intense tribal thriller to round things off on this long overdue release.

Review: Oh gosh. Scratcha's up to his old head-spinning tricks again on this super limited 10" white label. His remix of "Basstone" takes the lead. A cult 1994 Louie Vega classic, DVA's twist is unlike anything you've ever heard; all sirens and frequencies and bashy clattering beats over uplifting chords, it's both overwhelmingly heavy and absurdly soulful in equal measures and it will totally melt brains this festival season. Comes complete with two deep and fractured perspectives from the mysterious/anonymous/perhaps-new-alias Singlewhitefemale; the shadowy fractured "Dub" and the woozy dreamweaver "Secret Garden". All stunning... Grab this while you can.
