Review: Dungeon Meat's self-titled label is not known for its subtlety, and so it goes on this rip-roaring various artists 12" featuring three rough and ready jams for the peak time house crowd. Blunt Instruments get things going straight away with the mean New Jersey swing of "Kum On", as tough and bumping a house cut as you're ever likely to find. Ron Obvious steps up with "Mindful Vision", bringing an utterly addictive stripped down garage-y shuffle to the table, while Per Hammar finishes the EP off with the breaks-embellished "BX Chamber", a freaked-out dub-soaked affair for the heads down crowd.

Review: There's much to admire on this second "chapter" of Talman's "Retro Future" EP series, which lands in stores two months after its sold-out predecessor. The title is apt, because much of the material effortlessly joins the dots between the spacey bounce of late '90s tech-house and the rolling, bass-heavy glitch-funk of today's leading tech productions. Chris Stussy steals the show with opener "Atlas", a cut full to bursting with intergalactic-electronics, ear-pleasing chords and glassy-eyed futurist house grooves, while Per Hammar's "Dynamic Ranger" cannily mixes a swirling atmosphere with druggy, mind-altering rhythms. Elsewhere, Ray Mono provides ear-pleasing peak-time hypnotism, while Niko Maxen makes the most of some stabbing analogue bass and chiming, delay-laden riffs.

Review: Swedish man in Berlin Per Hammar helps inaugurate the Les Enfants label with his signature brand of sleek, immersive dubby tech house, creating the kind of mind-massaging moods that will go down oh-so-well on a long-trucking dancefloor. 'Lystopad' is a lithe and limber workout with some lush subtle detail bedded into the mix, while Nu Zau steps up for a remix of the track which turns up the trippy dial in that quintessential Romininal fashion. Miroloja's version meanwhile is a cheekier inversion of the track which calls to mind mid noughties minimal tech house. Hammar bookends the release with another superlative trip into dubby pastures, with shimmering sonic matter to truly lose yourself in.

Review: Ever-prolific Swedish minimal producer Per Hammar returns to Burnski's Constant stable with a surefooted EP showing off some of his freshest dancefloor approaches. 'Wrapper' keeps the groove dense and simmering, peppered with bleeps and dubby impulses, while 'Collapse' takes a more floaty direction with playful melodic flourishes darting around the pervading deepness of the rhythm section. 'TV 1000' locks into the tightest of funks, firing off a wandering bassline to get bodies wriggling with delight.

Review: In only a mere five years, producer, engineer and DJ Per Hammar has racked up an impressive discography, and now presents his long awaited debut full length album 'Pathfinder' on his own Dirty Hands imprint. This is a fine collection of moods and grooves for any occasion, and you can bet that his dubby and glacial aesthetic is evident throughout. From the chilling and bass-driven opener "Mother" and the Basic Channel-ish "F Dubb 1000", to ethereal and hypnotic rollers in the vein of fellow Scandinavians like S.A.M. on "If You Have A Mind It Will Wonder", and wonderfully representing the new breed of tech house on bangers like "Galatea" and "Manchester Lone Star". There's a lot to get through on here, but it's top notch all the way. Tip!

Review: Constant Sound continues to press ahead as one of the most productive entities in the minimal scene, and they're sounding as on-point as ever with this collaborative EP from Per Hammar and Okain. These two stripped back tech house champs bounce off each other perfectly, creating the kind of limber workouts that will sink under the skin of the after hours crowd with ease. Look out for B2 track "Double Brew", which folds some gorgeous dub techno inflections into the mix with stunning results.

Review: Malmo's Per Hammar returns and inaugurates new imprint 10 Years Records. The Dirty Hands boss employs more deep house of the nubbier persuasion on "The Expedition For Mrs Gustavsson". This is without a doubt one the most curious track titles of 2017 thus far and will appeal to fans of the Samuel Andre Madsen sound. On the flip it is over to Fellow swede Maya Lourenco aka Parallax Deep with "Periscope" The artist formerly known as Lumieux and has appeared on Klasse Wrecks and 12-3 and continues on with the underwater aesthetic: diving deeper and employing some rolling lo-end dynamics to impressive effect also.

Review: Dirty Hands is close to double figures now and its ninth EP is another tech house triumph that pairs off Olga Kool and Per Hammar across three sweet sounds. 'Beshket' is pure dancing business with icy hi hats cutting up a hurried and garage inflected house groove that has real swing and wobbly chords all held together by mysterious bassline. 'Darth Vader' is a twisted bit of cosmic tech funk with paranoid vocals and squelching acid synths. 'Jumbotron' closes out with plenty of fat-bottomed bass and bubbly synths that are full of flavour and future tech funk.

Review: Malin Genie's self-titled label carries another wedge of sublime deep house directly aiming at the after party crowd, this time in collaboration with the prolific Swedish producer Per Hammar, "Lijnbaan Dubb" kicks things off in an immersive swirl of heavy-lidded house for the mellow steppers to lock into. "Fosie" is a twitchier concern that reduces the groove down to a crystalline minimal framework peppered with quirky sound design. "Scania" has a more techy disposition, getting locked into some seriously heady loops and splashed with generous helpings of dub processing. SAM then reshapes the track into a moody strutter that brings things full circle with the A1 gem that opens this seriously classy EP.

Ada Kaleh & Jay Bliss lift their heads a little more with some dreamy but dynamic deep house and Brawther & Traumer combo for the brilliantly silky and stylish dub house cut that is 'Melted' (feat Prince Morella). Altitude closes down with the impossibly smooth and frictionless 'At The End Of Isolation.' Great stuff.

"Lindstrom" and "Undercurrent" are both made ofthe same stuff; solid house grooves are charged with enough tech power to make even the shiest of dancers have a go on, and they have enough percussion in them to appeal to all sorts of dance DJs. The Ion Ludwig remix is where things get truly stripped-back, launching a minimal tech attack in the same vein as Villalobos' best material.
