Hope Melancholic (9:11)
Windows Of Salvation (7:16)
Psychedelic Concentration (8:32)
Review: It's out of the shadows and into the light with the next release on Ornate music. At the reins is OCH, a name you might not have heard in a while, but whose solid and reliable CV names Sect, All Inn, Baby Ford's Trelik and PalL SL among his label references. In all honesty, it's like he never went away. We get three cuts of precision deepness. Lean, rather than minimal, these are fat-free, perfectly balanced excursions into the ethereal edges of house. Tight claps, subtle, eerie vocal samples that drift in and out of the mix, the mood is uplifting without any need for euphoric histrionics. This is refined music that won't sound out of place on the floor at CDV or Sunwaves, whenever we can return to the dancefloor. Or, in the meantime, kicking back at home when the sun unexpectedly brightens the winter mood. if you ever wanted to know what a beautiful day sounds like, now you know.

Review: A brazen slice of esoteric electronic entheogenic rock, the title of Swedish duo Och's 'Po Om Po' reads like a mantra for astral projection, and the sound of the LP is no different. Sonically, it materialises as a 7-track cloud of cinematic ambient rock, space-kraut-prog, kosmische... anything to draw out your inner Moog nerd. But this time, unlike their last album 'II', they've fleshed out the style even more on this new purple vinyl LP, where slow synths build to all the more pedal-metalled emotive peaks.

Lovers Roll (6:41)
Review: It's been a hot minute since we heard something new from Och, but he's back on Autoreply with a double 12" of high-grade, stripped back tech house shot through with oodles of imagination. "Panamax" is the consummate dubby house track, a true immersion chamber of a track, while "The Sadness" brings a shuffling groove and some peppy key stabs to the table. "The Healer" is a more overtly minimal affair that would sound at home on PAL SL, while "Linear Response Function" keeps things tight and focused with a sturdy rhythmic framework and some spartan piano notes. "Incompressible Flow" has a submerged jazzy undercurrent to it, and "Lovers Roll" gets into that freaky house bounce heard on "The Sadness". Overall, it's another sterling grip of refined tracks from a seasoned pro.

Review: Och has been a regular fixture on Baby Ford's Trelik label in recent years, and he returns with the late night delights of the Love Unconditional EP sounding stronger than ever. "Sunday Love" is a warm and cosy bumper, keeping the keys bright and breezy while the beat skips away dutifully before the more heads down thrust of "More Journeys Into Swing". The real star of the show though is "Love Unconditional", a particularly gripping track that unfurls seductive synth licks and vocal licks across the whole B side on a one-way trip to nocturnal body jam perfection.

Review: Autoreply main man OCH is back, this time on Marc Romboy's Systematic with another sweet minimal house jam with sombre and dreamy keys, tight rhythm programming and catchy female vocal samples; everything you need really. The "Marc Romboy Roland Orchestra" gives the track more of a deep house vibe with its soft arpeggiated house chords and dreamy keys taking you on a nice journey. Finally the Baby Ford remix has a true master of the art give his midas touch for this restrained and bittersweet version.

Review: Stunningly beautiful double-pack from OCH for Autoreply Music's 20th release. Following on from output on renowned labels like PAL SL, Trelik, Bass Culture he returns to Autoreply with seven tracks of playable perfection. By focusing on stripped-back percussive grooves, sparse 909 drum-programming and ultra fine-tuned dynamics he certainly proves with tracks "Samarkand Sulci" and "Snarecrow" that the original jackin' house/techno sound will always have plenty of life and soul. "Don't Fight It" is an 8.5 minute acid builder featuring haunting vocals and crisp synths whilst the bass driven dub of "Enceladus" wouldn't be complete without live delays and distorted pianos. Check Out "Morning Glory" for a surprise contender for this years balearic soundtrack or "C Ring" for ultimate warmth. Tracks for every situation and not to be missed!

The Magic Flute
Review: Following on from his 2010 "Dickens Tracks" EP
for London's PAL SL, OCH drops the eagerly awaited 2nd edition to the
series. As a producer his sound stands out through fusing stripped-back,
jackin' drums with sharp, swinging hats always adding an injection of
analog warmth through sparse, synth arrangements. A1's "Cross Check"
stays true to the labels early roots by using the bare essentials of
house music to create a hypnotic, highly effective floor-mover. On the
flip, "Star Of Hope" is an interlude, set-starter or vinyl DJ tool. B2's
"The Magic Flute" has a relaxed, sunny Chicago feeling teasing with
lush samples, driving bass and rock-solid beats. Mastered at D&M.

Hate Internet (Claro Intelecto remix)
Review: Autoreply presents a blue vinyl repress of one of their most sought after releases: OCH's "Hate Internet". This 10" was the first in a long line of hits which goes on to include winners on platforms like Trelik, Bass Culture and PAL SL. Thunderous drums, hypnotizing chords and a sample that the old house heads will recognise makes this one for the peak time. Claro Intelecto's Warehouse Sessions on Modern Love is regarded by many as one of the most definitive collections of contemporary techno to hit the shelves in recent years. Taking his cues from the warehouse classics that accompanied him through years in Manchester's revered clubs like the Hacienda, Home and Paradise Factory, he serves up a powerful, stripped down reworking of the original track that is equally suited to sweaty dance floors. Fasten your seatbelts.

Starts From Now
Review: Having scored releases on a staggering amount of top-shelf European house and techno labels, Och makes his second visit to Systematic to follow up on the Force Mass Control EP that he dropped in the not too distant past. This instalment finds the producer in fine fettle as he delves into his measured and atmospheric take on pristine house and techno. While the drums may sound a little raunchy on "Soul Burner" the haunting chord swells and poignant vocal hook add plenty of mystery to balance the track out. "Starts From Now" opts for a more concise kind of deep house, all elegiac pads and rock solid swinging groove.

Ultimate Kommunikation
Review: Autoreply boss OCH continues to be inspired by his relocation to Sweden, with this 12" for D'Julz's Bass Culture adding to releases for Systematic and SECT so far this year. It's not hard to see why he chose to call the lead track "Improvise" with OCH working that lead detuned synth line over a neck snapping beat in a manner that translates as the result of creative freedom in the studio. Equally, you can probably guess the nature of "Ultimate DJ Tool" but OCH reserves his best work for the flip with "Chill Haze" primed for the darkest rooms and the biggest sound systems. "Ultimate Kommunikation" retains the crispness of drums displayed elsewhere but opts for a dubbier tone that lends the EP some semblance of balance.

Shattered Dreams
Review: Autoreply boss Dicken Lean aka OCH returns to Sect, a UK label waddling in the dubbier end of techno. OCH first appeared on Sect in 2011 when the label released It's All For You, compilation, an extensive selection of deeper techno cuts from artists like Jeroen Search, Jolka, AnD and Fanon Flowers. OCH's track "Tears" made the cut, which reappears on his latest Surveillance Network missive, only having undergone a murky Skirt remix. "Linear Progression" sees OCH's love of tribal percussion thrown in among resonators and reverb, while "Up For Lost" features unusually suitable bongo drumming pitched against filtered saw waves that sweep across the tracks face. "Shattered Dreams" closes the EP with something Disney sounding, but given the cloudy Actress treatment.

Work Da Groove
Destroying Angel
Review: Making his first appearance on Marc Romboy's Systematic imprint, Dicken 'OCH' Lean throws down some ineffably weighty dub techno that does well to avoid the horizontal trappings of the genre and instead keeps the energy up with a rugged rhythmic structure out in front. The dubby textures themselves on "Work Da Groove" and "Destroying Angle" are also tweaked for greater impact, dressed like industrial ghosts just as they move like German dancers. The latter is the more militant of the two, while "Work Da Groove" makes the most of a warm lead synth line to shed some light on the situation.

Moonlight Sonata (parts 1 & 2)
Review: Hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed Whalesong EP for Trelik, OCH returns with another equally crucial deep club orientated two tracker. The A Side cut, "Sophisticated Animated", contains a level of funk and energy that is often lost in today's house music. Being constantly inspired by the US pioneers of the genre, OCH presents stripped back Chicago grooves alongside heavy analogue bass and jacking percussion, teasing with a sprinkling of 303 acid and a sparse yet deadly piano solo. Up next, "Moonlight Sonata" is OCH's deepest work to date, incorporating dubstep inspired drums and ambience with lush old-school synth chords which build and modulate before the track climaxes into a thundering four to the floor workout. Shrink-wrapped clear vinyl pressing.

Blind Is The Wind (interlude)
Last Chance Saloon
Review: Trelik reach into their recent archives with a much needed repress of Whalesong, the label's 2011 debut from UK producer OCH. With a compulsive passion for the dying art of crate-digging combined with a love for modern synthesis techniques the now Sweden based OCH manages to put together a 12" that could easily be described as psychedelic Chicago. "Whalesong" is a pulsating floor work-out which references the US greats whilst building an emotive sub-aqua soundscape. "Blind is The Wind" follows with a sneaky chord driven spoken interlude which creates an air of tension before climaxing into "Last Chance Saloon".

Review: Autoreply Music marks the coming of the summer season with a very tidy little 10" from OCH. This man recently recorded for Baby Ford's PAL SL imprint, gaining support from a diverse range of DJing luminaries including ZIP, Sammy Dee and Efdemin. Now the mysterious producer steps up with a big room floor rocker that has been described as Ian Pooley's "Chord Memory" meets Christian Vogel. Thunderous drums, hypnotizing chords and a cheeky sample that the old house heads will be sure to recognise make this one for the peak time. Claro Intelecto's Warehouse Sessions on Modern Love is regarded by many as one of the most definitive collections of contemporary techno to hit the shelves in recent years. Fresh back from remixing Depeche Mode he takes time out of his busy schedule for remix duties. Bombay Bedbath
Interlude Intuitive
Out Of Key In
Review: Och pops up on Baby Ford's PAL SL imprint after a solid debut on Autoreply's offshoot Stuga Musik. Although the producer behind the Och pseudonym remains mysterious for now, his early productions have garnered support from such esteemed figures as Ame, Norman Nodge, Gerd Janson, DJ Sneak and Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, and this latest 12" is, in our humble opinions, Och's best yet. The standout track here hogs the entirety of the A Side, with "Bombay Bedbath" characterised by some beefy drums and a drowning, late night soul vocal which complements the rolling groove. Flip over for two wonderful B Side obscurites, namely the rich ambient textures of "Interlude Intuitive" and twinkling piano lines and moody atmospherics of "Out Of Key In". Top release.

Stops Out
Stops In
Review: Stuga Musik, the new offshoot of London based label Autoreply, introduces the unknown artist Och with two tracks of atmospheric minimal techno that takes on more of a personal form than we are used to from the genre.

This release offers a response to the plethora of unimaginative, soulless and empty sounding minimal music that blew up out of all proportion in the mid 2000s. At a time when dance music is full of depth and feeling again, Och injects those sentiments into his minimal musings on this release. "Stops Out" provides the suspense, attitude, tension and overall musicality that minimal is often guilty of neglecting. The title track is engulfed in a wary tension created by deep bass and intense synth stabs. The atmosphere from the track rises up, seeping through the simple breaks and throbbing, deep techno. Cut up vocal edits that have an old school warehouse feel give the track even more personality but it is the affecting Hammond organ sample that really makes the centrepiece.

On the flip, "Stops In" falls into even deeper into atmospheric, almost sinister tensions. A skeletal afro-tech swing is set by shimmering hi-hats and low, murmuring sub bass that collides with chiming synths. As more of an orthodox techno beat picks up, the chilling pads stretch out over the track, giving it a totally enchanting and undiscovered feel. "Stops Out " is a highly engaging, post-modern take on minimal music, or in other words, post-minimal minimal. By bringing more feeling to the disciplines of minimal Och is proving that there is still ingenuity in the genre. Top stuff.

Jay Bliss - "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" (original mix)
Review: OCH has a strong pedigree of collaborations with fellow underground stalwart Jay Bliss the latest to share space on a Autoreply record with the label boss. Bliss should be known to many as the co-owner of Electrique Boutique alongside Markus Homm, for a long time the only vinyl outlet in Romania, and his discography makes for impressive reading these days. Recent times have seen Mr Bliss share record space with the likes of Skudge and Petre Inspirescu on respected imprints like 20:20 Vision, All Inn, Hudd Traxx and Fear Of Flying. AUTO 015 kicks off with a bouncy rework of OCH's "Scammell" from Bliss featuring sub-aqua sound-scapes and sonar blips on an instantly playable US inspired groove. OCH's original has a distinctly liquid approach possibly referencing the work of LTJ Bukem and Good Looking over techno framework. Jay's main offering "Men Are From Mars" is sexy controlled acid which OCH shifts up a gear for peak time floor-play layering the original TB303 patterns to thundering climax. Road-tested on Eleven Club, Tokyo's Alpha System's custom speakers.

DEN - "Rushing For Love"
DJ PI GE - "Down Map"
OCH - "Doctors Orders"
Review: 2013 marks Autoreply Music's 5th year of quality vinyl releases and welcomes the label's 14 release which sees label boss OCH welcome two of Tokyo's most influential players to the family. As co-founder of the Pan Records label and collaborator with Mathias Kaden as Mathimidori, DJ PI-GE has been integral to the capital's current wave of house and techno, whilst his high standing as a DJ has seen bookings at respected European haunts Panorama Bar, Womb and Robert Johnson. His track "Down Map" features soft vocals, and catchy drifting synths which build and tease over an 8 minute backdrop of tight, club orientated percussion. Expertly mixed and pre-mastered by David Koch aka Dewalta. op.disc regular DEN has an equally fruitful musical heritage having lived in London and Berlin and recorded for electronic institutions like Soma and Trapez. Returning to his homeland he's now established himself as one of the nations premium DJ's. "Rushing For Love" is built around powerful drums and speaker shaking bass, its perfect for the peak time with haunting piano's creating a mood of euphoric tension and suspense. OCH is no stranger to labels like Trelik, PAL SL, All Inn and SECT. He kicks of the 12" with "Fika" which embraces his early UK House and Garage roots with warm vintage keys and lush female vox. "Doctors Orders" is a unique beatless weapon of spoken word and analogue synths completing the line-up of this very special EP.

Review: Four deadly cuts of timeless, jackin' house and deep techno professionalism. OCH returns to his Autoreply home with a new series of split 12"s inviting a diverse group of producers to share a slab of wax. For the A Side he opens with "Deltic" which sets the mood with tough yet soulful Chicago vibes. OCH's second contribution is "Freeze-Thaw" showcasing a deep, hypnotic groove alongside powerful sub-bass, lush female vox with dreamy analogue pads that bridge the gap between artistic creativity and memorable club versatility. On the flip side it's Romanian all-rounder, The Model, who has previously graced premium labels such as Traum Schallplatten and International DJ Gigolo. Here he delivers two ultra-phat workouts in the form of "Dungeon Man", an infectious chord driven floor-burner and "Stancuto" a stripped back, percussive take on the same theme demonstrating his emerging new warehouse sound with just the slightest salute to Echocord or Dehnert.
