Review: East German producer Karten Kaufman dons his Nick Sole hat to deliver a first full-length for the Mojuba label. Sole has been around the deep house scene since the mid 2000s, but has little more than a handful of 12" singles to his name. Clearly, he's a perfectionist. This attention to detail is evident on Flowers For You, which offers clean, atmospheric deep house with all the warming breeziness of a Mediterranean sea breeze. There are, of course, more muggy moments - see the double bass and twinkling chords of "Money" or the chunky "Deep Sundown" - but the overriding feel is relentlessly sunny.

Review: Mojuba's artist list is, to put in mildly, impressive. Ron Trent, Chez Damier, Sven Weisemann and the Contigo EP man himself, Nick Sole. Dubby, deep and mature house is their thing and after some recent works on Faux Pas Music, Nick is presenting three fresh tracks in the lead up to his anticipated album. The EP kicks off with "Contigo" which exudes the aforementioned Mojuba qualities in abundance and is whispered sexily throughout. On the B1 "Welcome To the Aiport" is based on much of the same; intelligent basslines, delicate and meandering synths, rapid shakers - damn good deep house basically, although this time a humorous airport announcement outro plays its part! "Houston" gives the EP a punchier atmosphere with crunchy samples, although its general feel follows its predecessors. Low slung, hypnotic and melting; every inch screams Mojuba.

Review: Nick Sole is back on Mojuba! If you ever asked yourself how deep-house should sound like, now you have the chance to experience. The a-side of "World Dubbing" is an epic ocean of the deepest house sounds that will blow you away with its hypnotic organic feel and harmony. The b-side is a dancefloor shaking drum track with a catchy dubby atmosphere. Get it while you can!
