Review: Dirt Crew's popular Deep Love series returns for a fifteenth time, with another all-star cast of label favourites and special guests providing a quintet of smooch-friendly deep house treats. Brame & Hamo kick things off with the twinkling pianos, soft focus vocal samples and jazz-flecked beats of "Triple Treat", before Nachtbraker pushes the acid bass up to 11 on the cosmic rumble of "Catch Up". Homework's "Pliester" is a warm and woozy delight full of blissful electronic pianos and US garage influenced chords, while Voyeur impresses with the bumpin', jazz-flecked deep house soul of "The Long Way Home". It's Local Talk regular Kyodai who steals the show, too, with the loopy, off-kilter shuffle of "Tleflicht".

Deep House
Crackazat - "Lindop Circles" (6:36)
Saine - "Prime Chops" (6:13)
Nachtbreaker - "Totally Not Mistique" (7:07)
Gnork - "Chord Tool" (5:26)
Review: Quartet Series is a fresh imprint based between Milan and Amsterdam and run by Nachtbraker and KiSk. Inaugurating their new label is Crackazat (from Uppsala, Sweden) with his 80's pop- house excursion "Lindop Circles" (which is so lovably cheesy) and Saine with the deep and sexy slo-mo disco of "Prime Chops". On the flip there's also Nachtbreaker himself with "Totally Not Mystique" (which sounds like an outtake from the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack) and Gnork with "Chord Tool" which sounds like early Underground Resistance or 808 State.

Fouk - "Lefty's Bar" (Brame & Hamo remix) (6:09)
Brame & Hamo - "Hotshot" (Fouk remix) (5:09)
Nachtbraker - "You're Out Of Your Element" (Detroit Swindle remix) (7:02)
Detroit Swindle - "Alright We'll Be" (M Ono remix) (7:17)
M Ono - "Delaware State Route" (Nachtbraker remix) (6:10)
Review: Detroit Swindle's Heist Recordings serve up a bunch of sweet remixes for proper house heads. Irish lads Brame & Hamo remix Fouk's "Lefty's Bar", its a sweet slice of slow-mo house that's worth a listen. Fouk then returns the favour, remixing their track "Hotshot", giving it a sleazy deep funk flavour that's unashamedly indebted to KDJ. On the flip are label head honchos Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets giving Nachtbraker's "You'e Out Of Your Element" a deep trippy tech house makeover that's perfect to use as your pre-peak time track. Oh, their track "Alright We'll Be" gets a sultry and adrenalised rework by Leipzig's M.ono. The confusion all ends in spectacular fashion with Maurits Verwoerd aka Nachtbraker's turn at a remix. He gives M.ono's "Delaware State Route" a tracky and percussive house remodel that could have equally been at home on Sascha Dive's Deep Vibes imprint.

Liquid Earth - "Spooky Snorkel" (6:57)
Daisy Boy - "The Feeling Of Doing It Again" (6:59)
Nachtbraker - "Marcus Howl" (7:08)
Huerta - "Larry Seeker" (5:37)
Review: You might have thought Florida breaks were an old-timey thing, but Miami's Sports Records proves otherwise with this. This freshest split 12". 'Sports Vol. 3' hears individual contributions from Liquid Earth, Daisy Boy, Nachtbreaker and Huerta added to the fore, beginning on the scratch-up Mario Kart-esque breaks n' tones of 'Spooky Snorkel' and ending on the b-boy's laser-fire that is 'Seekers'. Limited to 500 copies, you don't want to miss this latest addition, best for fans of Telephones or Kalahari Oyster Cult.

Bay Be Blu (12" mix) (6:16)
Warmer (6:11)
Tangelo Dreams (7:41)
Drip (6:29)
Review: Dutch enfant terrible Maurits Verwoerd aka Nachtbraker returns to his eponymous imprint with more cheeky deep house experiments, following up some great ones on Aus Music and Quartet Series. The Bay Be Blu EP sure keeps up the quality: from the neon-lit ocean drive of the title track with its emotive synths against a backdrop of UK style breakbeats, to 'Warmer' where the tough rhythms continue. On this one, you'll hear his personal field recordings on the beaches of Barcelona, complete with jungle style sub-bass, yet all the while remaining defiantly deep house. On the flip, he nails the afterhours sound perfectly on the rolling and hypnotic 'Tangelo Dreams' followed by the UK pirate radio vibe of 'Drip' and its two-step influence.

Minimal/Tech House
Nachtbraker - "Ojo Rojos" (7:27)
Christopher Rau - "Give It" (5:24)
Titonton Duvante - "Pursuit Of Ma'at" (6:12)
S-Max - "Lil' Lightyear Wants To Ride" (5:49)
Review: There are four heavyweight names on this next one from Residual: Dutchman and Red Light Radio man Nachtbraker goes first with the dark and loopy "Ojo Rojos" which keeps you on edge. German deep houser Christopher Rau layers up and elastic bassline with some warm acid. Cult American house man and Residual boss then steps up with "Pursuit Of Ma'at" which is one of his famously smooth minimal rollers. Last of all, another pivotal German artist in S-Max closes things out with "Lil' Lightyear Wants To Ride" a bubbly number with a drilling bassline and sci-fi motifs. Very useful stuff.

Deep House
Nachtbraker - "Doble" (7:27)
Laurence Guy - "Love & Be Loved" (5:30)
Tommy Vicari Jnr - "Aplomb" (7:15)
LK - "Honey" (4:35)
Review: The comic book-inspired Quartet Series returns to action, with another four studio superheroes joining the label's unofficial 'League of Extraordinary House Producers'. Returning hero Nachtbraker kicks things off with "Dobie", a quirky foray into percussion rich, jazz-house territory that packs serious dancefloor punch. Laurence Guy successfully breaks up the beats on the deep and woozy "Love & Be Loved", while Tommy Vicardi Jnr works his DJ Sneak style beats and cut-up samples hard on the deliciously energetic "Aplomb". Finally, LK doffs a cap to R&B, hip-hop and Detroit deep house on the pitched-down 4/4 shuffle of closer "Honey", which should appeal to those who enjoy the work of Marcel Vogel, Inkswel and Andres.
