Review: Gestal is leading the way in the Estonian scene and now it rightly continues its anniversary celebrations with a third volume of vital VA cuts. Anderson opens proceedings with his 'Stalactites,' a nice leggy electro cut with a heavy drum and bass combo but plenty of astral details. Things get more kinetic and travel much further from the blue planet on the superbly slick and serene cut from Long Island Sound, while Baby Rolen gets down and dirty on twisted bass and slapping drum hits that make you jerk. There is a much more dreamy vibe to Abdul Raeva's 'Celestial Body' meaning things close on a perfect emotional note.

Review: To kick-start its 2018 release programme, Kyoku Records has decided to offer up its first multi-artist EP. Fittingly, the producers featured have all previously released solo singles on the Melbourne-based imprint. Dorsi Plantar steps up first with "Senorita Lolita", a bumping chunk of starry-eyed peak-time warmth marked out by jaunty jazz-funk bass, spacey chords and lilting melody lines, before Sune doffs a cap to disco and jazz-funk-loving Detroit house superstar Andres on the superb "Californication". Turn to the flipside for Long Island Sound's sinewy, string-drenched loop jam "Ease In" (think Pepe Bradock's "Deep Burnt" after a fistful of anti-depressants) and the bumpin', jazzy disco-house brilliance of Ethyene's "Good", which features contributions from Folamour and Marc Bianco.

Review: Dublin-based duo Long Island Sound are back with another grip of atmospheric epics that draw on the best elements of trance, breakbeat and house to soundtrack unforgettable moments. Their sound is loaded with sentiment, favouring the power of a winsome melody over aggressive production acrobatics to capture your attention. 'Don't Let Me' has a tense feel which subtly builds over time, capturing a prog mood which takes its cues from the likes of Bicep. 'Air' is a crisp broken beat affair with celestial pads and pealing leads which aim squarely at the heart - a tune guaranteed to bring out the feels for anyone caught in its waveform.

Review: Super Tuff brings the feel-good house hit to keep you warm this Autumn, drawing on a range of artists who know how to lay down steadfast club tackle. Luvless bring an unabashed 90s flavour, all sweet piano chords and stiff drum machine rhythms, while Long Island Sound take things deeper with the dreamy "I Chose You Because". Tommy Vicari Jnr spices things up with "Pacific Stri", firing off a wealth of African percussion while keeping a firm grip on the melodic warmth inherent on the rest of the record. Mara Lakour round the EP out with the classic, tracky tones of "Akoa".
