Review: Altered Moods strides into its 11th year of active service with a delectable platter of sumptuous house music presented by Jesus Gonsev. The Spanish producer has previously been spotted on deepArtSounds, Music With Content and his own Troubled Kids label. "Fuerza" is a billowing, dreamy trip loaded with heavy pads and submerged acid, leading into the gritty but soulful crunch of "Old Times." "Gargantua" is a loose-knit creation that celebrates skittering drums pinging around the anchor of the kick while wistful keys smooth the whole jam out. Life Energy taps into this feeling and runs with it on a remix of "Gargantua" that creates a more pumping backbone while amping up the romantic wooze of the melodic content too.

Review: 2017 marks ten years since Jesus Gonsev dropped his first 12" on House Cafe Music. To celebrate a decade in the game, the producer returns with his first solo single since 2014. He's managed to rope in some high profile mates to lend a hand, too. First Glenn Underground and vocalist Sarignia Bonfa help turn soft-focus deep house shuffler "Unlimited Sky" into a deliciously glassy-eyed fusion of twinkling vibraphone solos and starry synthesizer flourishes, before remixer Patrice Scott breaks up the beats and turns the same track into a breezy blend of broken house and modern soul. Also worth checking is "Kamakrus", an attractive Chicago jack-track smothered in dreamy chords, and the spaced-out downtempo oddness of "Andromeda".

Review: Before anything else let us just say that we find ourselves before one of the most revolutionary artists for deep house in Spain, Jesus Gonsev. He rounds out the tenth vinyl release of House Cafe Music with "Next To Me", a great release with a definitive American sound from the early nineties. "So Deep" has garnered the attention of house legends such as Larry Heard and Ame, who have already included this track in their sessions. All in all, this is a fantastic House Cafe release.

Review: Spanish label Bucketround kicks off a new series called Deep Encounters with this four-track various artists release from some lesser known talents with some seriously fresh ideas. Jesus Gonsev taps into the mood of labels like Pleasure Zone and the stripped down Romanian sound, but there's other forces at work in the meditative bliss of "Terminal 5". Tominori Hosoya takes things in the direction of Dubbymann style deep house, all pattering bongos and sweeping melodic content before Allstar Motomusic brings a tougher, old-skool New York approach to steamy house music. Manuel Costela finishes the EP off with the delicately balanced "Mind Purveyor", holding back on the drums and leading with the chords instead.

Review: Madrid-based label Mate makes a strong first impression with this assured slab of deep house goodness from Jesus Gonsev and Javonntte. Javonntte needs little introduction - the US producer and vocalist has forged a strong legacy in just a short time from NDATL and Sistrum Recordings to Skylax and Quintessentials. Gonsev has been active for many years, previously appearing on labels like Troubled Kids and more recently deepArtSounds and Altered Moods. As you might expect then, the vibe is heartfelt and mature on this 12", not least when the two team up for the bumping "Feel The Beat In The Air".

Review: Spanish deep house label Troubled Kids celebrate their 10th release with a various artist EP featuring music from Rush Hour and Neroli act Ricardo Miranda, French producer Life Recorder, Delsin house head Trevor Deep Jr. and label reps Jesus Gonsev & The Troubled Kids Gang. Waves of synths, Chicago bass and snappy snares control Miranda's busy "Polysynthetic Jungle", while The Troubled Kids Gang opt for looped Rhodes and a streamlined arrangement in "Neon Nights". Review: Deep Inspiration sure stays true to its name once again on this third volume of its Family Things series. It is another various artist offering packed with talent. Winelambs aka Dan Piu & Jesus Gonsev open up with 'Colors In Your Soul' (feat Roger Versey) which is as warm and fuzzy as house gets complete with a dreamy spoken word. Jesus Gonsev's 'Fantasy' slows it down a notch, with drums pulsing like a sedate heartbeat as gorgeous ambient synths unfurl up top like half remembered dreams. Melchior Sultana & Gary Hattenberger up the ante with a mid tempo deep house warmer and Neuronphase closes down with the flute laced sounds of 'By Myself.'
