Review: House of Chez is the new label from the legendary American deep house pioneer Chez Damier. It follows involvement with the seminal Prescription with Ron Trent in the 90s, then his own Balance, and finds him once again serving up super fresh grooves. He appears himself on 'Together' with his French studio partner as H2H and also Damian Rausch and the tune is pure and steamy house deepness. Elsewhere Emanuele Barilli gets dreamy with 'Unconscious Relief', there is a soulful vocal to the dry beats of Mosis's 'Pick It Up' and Oscide's 'No Use' is a little more prickly and direct.

Review: Chez Damier and Ben Vedren's H2H project recovers from its intense Villalobos session last year with a brand new original and two exceptional remixes from Detroit OG Thomas Barnett. "Les Perdre" (which apparently is still in demo phase but sounds great to us) creates a superb spring effect in the groove with clever reverse textures before suddenly dropping into organ heaven mid way. Elsewhere we find Barnett adding a little warm analog spring to proceedings himself as he gives "Berlin Nights In Paris" and (fittingly) "Made In Detroit" his own titanium jack and subtle tendrils of acid.

Review: Deep house doesn't get any better than when it's from scene-pioneer Chez Damier. The US legend has been finding the most sensuous and emotive sounds for decades, not only as a producer but also as a label boss. His House of Chez label cooks up some more goodness here with his own collab with H2H opening up with mystic Middle Eastern melodies drifting over smooth beats. Damian Rausch's remix then brings something more heavy and El Kazed heads off to the stars on waves of cosmic synth lushness. Last of all is Italo legend Giorgio Morderer with the gloriously soulful 'Engery.'

Review: Detroit-born house music legend Chez Damier presents his new imprint here with this quality four-track various artist release. H2H (Damier and French producer Ben Vedren) kick off the A-side with the late night mood music of "Tempo Of Love" remixed by London duo Saison (No Fuss Records), followed by the classic '90s Stateside style stomp of Easy Peelers' "Chekov's Gun". Over on the flip, Strasbourg's El Kazed carries on festivities with the emotive Prescription Records influenced feels of "For R&S" and finally Mike Berardi serves up a sturdy jam geared for those heads down moments on "Sharp Accent".
