Small Town Yoky 11 (5:37)
Review: Libertine's 14th release is something of a beast: a double-EP from sometime My Own Jupiter Producer Do Or Die that squeezes in nine impressively varied tracks. The fast-rising producer's roots are of course in techno and electro, but he's not shy in exploring every avenue of these wide-ranging genres. For proof, compare and contrast the acid-fired, new wave-influenced bubbliness of "Galactic Bang Bang", the fast-paced acid-electro intensity of "Blackmail", the Italo-disco style throb-job "Morning To Lose", and the chiming, all-action cheeriness of quirky closing cut "Small Town Yoky 11". The rest of the double-pack maintains this interconnected eclecticism, portraying Do Or Die as a producer with a head full of ideas and an eccentric musical vision of his own.

Conciencia Sucia (feat Corp) (6:13)
Lost (7:06)
DX100 (6:30)
In Time (5:09)
Review: Last year, Spanish analogue freak Do Or Die impressed with debut album "Alien GF", a nine-track romp through intergalactic acid, techno and electro pastures. "Imposible Materia" offers up his first new material since and is similarly impressive. Head first for "Lost", a bustling, all-action affair rich in fizzing riffs, weird noises, classic Motor City chords and wiggly acid lines, before losing yourself in the hypnotic, minor key motifs, broken techno beats and unsettling stabs of "DX100". Sci-fi loving acid freaks will devour the psychedelic TB-303 lines, rumbling Michigan bass and punchy drum machine hits of opener "Conciencia Sucia", while closing cut "In Time" offers a warm, groovy, tactile and suitably shuffling conclusion to another superb Do Or Die release.

90s (5:23)
EBM (5:32)
Nazca Lines (5:51)
Review: Do or Die has already made an impression on Nicolas Lutz's My Own Jupiter and now makes a sideways step to Binh's Time Passages, another label associated with a deep digging selection of underground DJs who are some of the most revered of the moment. Opener "90s" makes you wanna scream "aciiiiiiiiid" at the top of your voice, "EBM" channels some old school rave, breakbeat and techno vibes with its energetic drum patterns and bleeping synths. The title track is the most unusual of the lot, pairing withering synth lines with metallic drums and distorted drones that all add up to some powerful, warehouse-ready sounds.

Electro
Eliaz - "Dance Deceiver" (8:08)
Stigma - "End Of The Data" (5:15)
Do Or Die - "Drk101" (6:12)
Lapucci - "Mystic Beat" (5:49)
Review: Like its' two predecessors, this third EP from the shadowy Cimedirapax label offers-up brand-new cuts from a multitude of little-known producers and rising stars. The compilation-style EP is led by Elias, who impresses with the hybrid electro/techno/acid brilliance of 'Dance Deceiver', whose moody motifs, sci-fi chords and twisted acid lines are enticing in the extreme. Stigma then steps up with the retro-futurist electro urgency of 'End of the Data' - all mutant sounds, body-popping beats, fizzing synth sounds and vintage EBM chords - before label regulars Do Or Die join the dots between TB-303 fired insanity and Nitzer Ebb on 'Drk101'. To round off a quietly impressive EP, Lapucci delivers the subtly new beat-influenced throb of 'Mystic Beat'.

Review: ***B-STOCK: Sleeve damaged, but otherwise in excellent condition***

REPRESS ALERT!: EYA Records has a big one on its hands here as two big names in Innershades and Do or Die join forces for four searing cuts that draw on multiple genres. 'Digital Modulation' is a jacking cut with high speed synth lasers shooting over mechanical beats. 'Exit Level' is an acid laced, rave tinged techno banger for strobe lit warehouses and 'Function' then gets more mysterious, with an ethereal vocal sound and more acid all going deep. 'System Error' closes on a scintillating percussive energy and broken beat techno.

Review: Grenoble-based Sekhem is back with its second various EP. This one features French producer Mohammed Vicente on the A side with the ferocious acid breaks of 'The Death Of Snake' as well as Moya81 with the early '80s synth pop of 'Synthetic Mind'. Over on the flip we have got international talents such as veteran Madrid producer Do/Or/Die who delivers the slamming sci-fi beats of 'Bleep Wave' while Italy's Davide Piras (Subwax Excursions/Mont Lake) does his best impression of legends Dopplereffekt on 'Rewind'.

Do Or Die - "Swinger Cats"

Review: SATZ is a brand new label out of Georgia which is set to shine a light on the local scene and a wealth of its most impressive minimal and tech explorers. It is the already celebrated Z@P who opens up with a future sound full of sci-fi motifs and sleek synths over hard edge drums. Gio Shengelia & Toke then join forces for the stiff tech and industrial tinged groove of 'Supermarket on Mars' while Do Or Die spin out of the cosmos and into a turbulent universe of angsty synths, twitching modulations and wild acid. Closer 'Manmachine' is a firmly rooted and motorik groove to drive you late into the night.
