Techno
  1. Osc 1 (7:14)
  2. Trust In You (6:59)
  3. Beneath The Ice (6:21)
  4. Blood Moon (6:29)
Review: Subconscious Algorithms kicked off with the dulcet tones of Norken, and now turns its attention to another champion of the UK underground in the form of Derek Carr. There's much to draw parallels on between the artists, as they both explore the outer realms of expressive, delicate and most importantly melodic electro, with Carr sounding especially harmonious on the intricate programming of "Osc 1". "Trust In You" is a more angular, acidic affair still steeped in Motor City soul, while "Beneath The Ice" takes a lighter, almost synth-pop indebted approach. "Blood Moon" rounds the record off in a swirl of twitchy drums and lingering strings.

Deep House
  1. Sidewinder (6:28)
  2. Stepping Out (6:29)
  3. Search For Intelligence (6:29)
  4. Indigo (5:42)
Review: Long serving Irish producer Derek Carr continues to enjoy a resurgent career following his appearances on For Those That Knoe, now stepping up to Love Notes for some of his most effervescent house jams to date. "Sidewinder" is a sprightly, Detroit indebted house workout pitched at peak time, while "Stepping Out" trips into classically informed techno for the back room crowd. "Search For Intelligence" is a great example of how to execute sweet natured electro, and "Indigo" ditches the kicks to twirl into more of that Motor City flavoured machine soul magic for the mind.

Review: Derek Carr's reputation as a treasured force in UK deep techno is well established now, at least compared to before his mammoth reissue campaign with For Those That Knoe began. Label and artist deliver once again, this time with a mammoth quadruple pack vinyl that gathers together some of the best digital-only releases Carr has put out. This package is incredible value for money, positively overflowing with thoughtfully rendered sci-fi soul that will keep you returning to make new discoveries for years to come. Whether it's the aqueous funk of "Angels" or the airy electro of "25th," every one of these 17 tracks is gold.

Techno
  1. Cobert - "Ortsutshi" (5:29)
  2. Otis - "Latenighter" (6:59)
  3. Riccardo - "Clone" (5:32)
  4. Derek Carr - "Existence Is Futile" (7:07)
Review: Classic techno flavours are the order of the day on mysterious new imprint Lunasa. A quartet of very impressive various artists feature on this EP here, which will no doubt appeal to all you retroverts out there. First up, Tbilisi-based Cobert (Partisan/Amazing Stories) delivers some killer sci-fi funk on " Ortsutshi", the much loved Riccardo (Imprints/Metropolita) gets on a wacky, heads-down electro tip on "Clone" and British legend Derek Carr is on fine form as always on the evocative second wave Detroitism of "Existence Is Futile" which is just sublime! Great stuff and highly recommended for fans of Libertine, Art of Dark or Time Passages etc.
