Review: Deniro is given the task of serving up Dutch label Tape's 15th EP and doesn't disappoint. His take on the genre is all about dense, multi-layered rhythms and linear grooves that lock you in and trip you out. What sound like modular synths run wild on 'Pele 2' over a warped bassline and 'Pele 3' is a high-speed kicker with rattling snares and loopy melodies all working to get you in the zone. 'Pele 4' pairs some freaky late night sound effects with an undulating rhythm and hurried hi-hats. All four of these are potent dancefloor tools with plenty of character.
