Review: Berlin's prolific Delfonic is back on GAMM with part two of his popular Berlin Reworks series. Building on the fine first instalment, he delves into his record collection to rework four beloved tracks and they feature classic black dance music and blend modern disco-soul, soulful disco, jazz-funk, and vibrant jazz-dance. Each track offers something different so these jams will cater to a wide range of tastes from the aching soul of 'Will You Follow Me?' to the feel-good funk of 'Lemme Change', percussive and chord-laced magic of 'Come On & Dance' and cosmic dancer that is 'Chillinger'.

Review: Delfonic returns with his signature edit-styled dancefloor gems in the Get Ready EP on Disco Disco records. This four-track offering, geared towards disco and nu-disco enthusiasts, promises a fun dancefloor experience with each. On Side-1, 'Turn Me Loose' (feat. CC) starts things off with its upbeat, high-energy fusion of disco and house influences. The title track, 'Get Ready' (Delfonic rework), follows suit with infectious rhythms and irresistible grooves. On Side-2, 'Funny Bones' (Delfonic rework) delivers primetime disco vibes, perfect for igniting the dancefloor with its dynamic energy. Closing the EP is 'Cycles' (Delfonic edit), a funk-infused journey into early disco that oozes with undeniable disco goodness. Delfonic's Get Ready EP is a diverse yet cohesive selection of tracks that are sure to excite funk, disco and filtered house fans.

Review: On their latest 12", the Razor 'N' Tape crew has looked to Berlin, rather than Brooklyn, for inspiration. As the title suggests, the man at the controls this time round is Oye Records founder Markus "Delfonic" Lindner. He hits the ground running with "The Flow", a deliciously loved-up interpretation of one of the sweetest, baggiest and dewy-eyed disco-soul tunes around. While undeniably floor-friendly, there's no attempt made to beef up the track unnecessarily, with Lindner's addition percussion tending towards the subtle and reverential. Those hankering after something a little sweatier should check the disco-funk hustle of "SPF" (which comes complete with some seriously spacey synth solos) and Lindner's excellent rearrangement of a lesser-known cover of O'Jays classic "I Love Music".

Review: Hot'N'Spicy's self-titled series of flame hot disco and funk gems returns with a sizzling sixth instalment here and it has some big names on board. Delfonic opens up with the low slung and seductive loopy disco-house fun of 'Everything Is Love' while HOLDTight up the funk and energy with more loose and percussive grooves on 'Disco Power.' Franck Roger brings his classy French house styling to a deep and slinky number in 'Pinguino Blumo' and DJ Steef shuts down with some big camp disco flourishes and dubbed-out vocal echoes on 'Warp Odyssey.'

Review: Funkyjaws Music launches a new edits series here with four absolute dons of the form on one vital 12". It's Lay Far that kicks off with 'Never Ever Edit' which is all horn-led excitement and upbeat disco claps and kicks before Admin's 'Moon Trippin' takes a more slow and soulful approach. When it comes to edits few are more essential than Chicago's Rahaan who kicks off the B-side with 'Gonna Get Ya', a leggy funk number infused with cosmic synth rays and warm piano chords. Delfonic shuts down with the loose percussive jumbles and jazzy vibes of 'Let's Dance The Spank'. A fine start to the series with volume two already in the works.
