Review: With Adam Jay & Brian Kage, Alex Flatner signed two of the hottest and most creative heads the recent electronic music scene has to offer for Monoid. With their groundbreaking and expressive tracks on this EP Adam Jay & Brian Kage are delivering the new sound for Monoid! Over the last four years, Adam Jay has taken the global techno scene by the throat with releases on numerous renowned imprints and DJ-support by heavyweights such as Sven Väth, Carl Cox or Adam Beyer. This time Adam Jay is teaming up with Detroit based DJ and deep tech house producer Brian Kage who has already been releasing on Azure, his own imprints Baretta and Baretta Grey, Eona, Lumina and DLuv. In a little while he took the global scene by storm, placing his tunes in the playlists of influential DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold & Ricardo Villalobos.

Review: It's destination Detroit for some uncaged sounds from the man like Kage. Two originals, two exceptional remixes deep, Kage takes us Interstellar once again with 'Werk It'. Stripped back to the bare Roland bones with little splashes of piano and vocal elements, it's a timeless piece of deep house that could only come from Detroit. 'Groove La Tape Machine' brings a little more technoid soul into the mix with swollen wavey synths and a persistent bassline that plunges deeper and deeper into the track. Complete with remixes from the legendary Patrice Scott and We Play House bossman Red-D. Keep it reel (to reel).

Review: Brian Kage with this new 12" from the Beretta Music label. "Interstellar Agent" sees Brian treading a familiar path, with spacey, driving primetime techno, full of Detroit flavors, wandering techno bass, crisp beats and drifting synths are served up for the main room crowds. Vince Watson beefs up the drums on his take, gives the kick more oomph whilst adding a dreamy synth line. On the flip, Joris Voorn adds steamy filters and retools the bassline into a thicker form, but keeping the main room interest levels high. "Scape" completes things with Brian going for some harder-hitting peaktime techno grooves, with another fluid bassline underpinning the restructured beats and spacey synth lines.
