Review: Pops Mohamed's musical journey began back in the mid-1970s with just a dream and a Yamaha organ. He became the bandleader and composer of Black Disco which went on to create their own unique mix of chill-out jazz, futuristic drum sounds and spiritual moods with his cosmic organ work front and centre. He was joined by sought-after stars of the South African jazz scene and later a drummer who replaced the drum machines and then went on a superb run of three standout albums between 1975 and 1976. The best of that period is now compiled here.
