Review: Steppas head honcho Alpha joins forces with prolific toaster Lutan Fyah for a rootical exercise in traditional dub. With a bumping bassline and sugar-sweet vocals, it's a fantastic transitional track that's guaranteed to enjoy plenty of exposure this festival season. For added club-focussed welly (and some lovely cymbal splashes) head for DJ Madd's remix.

Review: Alpha Steppa love putting out great albums - there have been several over the years and most of them on this label. Some have been solo, some alongside the likes of Ata Fall, while this one is a hook up with Welleie Seyon across a limited edition double 12". As always it showcases plenty of versatile production styles unified by some serious low end dub. All 12 tracks are as captivating as the next with Wellette's distinctive voice and unique sense of lyrical wit and flow making a perfect complement to Alpha Steppa's unmistakably weighty sound designs.

Review: UK steppas artist Joe Yorke first came under wide renown for his unique falsetto voice. The artist now presents his latest single, 'Rocking Ship/Wrecking Ship' - it's a collaboration with Yaksha, an upcoming UK dub producer, an also contains a dub mix by Alpha Steppa, the founder of its parent label Steppas Records and a renowned dub artist in his own right. Laden with lasershots and cruddy delay, and plodding away at an incredibly low tempo, both cuts here show off Yorke's ultra-high whistle of a voice, like a distant light from a lighthouse glimpsed on a hazy horizon.
