LSD (Lindo Sonho Delirante) (2:27)
O Reloginho (2:57)
Review: This desirable 7" record by Fabio, originally released in 1968 and reissued in 2024, is a true gem of psychedelic rock. With its raw, garage-infused sound, the record transports listeners to the vibrant counterculture era. The title track, 'LSD Lindo Sonho Delirante,' embodies the album's trippy, dreamy atmosphere. Its distorted guitars and hypnotic rhythms create a swirling soundscape that evokes the surreal experiences of psychedelic rock.. 'O Reloginho' offers a more upbeat contrast with its catchy melody and playful lyrics. Fabio's unique blend of psychedelic rock and garage aesthetics makes this album an essential addition to any collector's library. Its rarity and sonic charm will undoubtedly appeal to enthusiasts of the genre.

You Woo Me (3:06)
Review: The Fabulous Courettes' 'Shake!' unleashes a whirlwind of retro-inspired rock 'n' roll energy in a compact package. This Danish-Brazilian duo ignites the airwaves with their electrifying blend of garage rock and 1960s girl-group aesthetics. 'Shake!' is a sonic explosion of fuzzy guitar riffs, infectious drumbeats and irresistible vocal harmonies that compel listeners to move. With its raw, unbridled energy and infectious hooks, this track embodies the essence of rebellion and liberation and makes for a sonic adrenaline rush that transports listeners to the heyday of rock 'n' roll, leaving them craving more of its infectious charm.

Review: The Flaming Lips' The John Peel Session of October 17, 1996, marked a pivotal moment in the trajectory of the Flaming Lips. Just before their rise to international prominence, the session captured their essence through four tracks that showcased their eclectic blend of neo-psychedelia, experimental rock, and indie influences. Peel, renowned for his astute ear for new talent, played a crucial role in introducing the band's unique sound to a broader audience. The session serves as an audio bookmark to their innovative approach and the impact of Peel's support in propelling them towards global recognition.

Review: Flammer Dance Band returns with 'Gynger', a high-energy, groove-infused album that showcases their vibrant fusion of funk, Afrobeat and psychedelic sounds. After a whirlwind year of touring, including a stint backing Ghanaian legend Funky Rob, the seven-piece group hit the studio with fresh inspiration and contagious spontaneity. Over five intense days, they recorded Gynger, an album brimming with dynamic, raw energy. Highlights include,'Bandet Gar', which is a horn-heavy funk powerhouse, bursting with infectious rhythms. 'Ekko Av Deg Selv' takes a more experimental route, with its distinctive keyboard work lending the track a unique and eclectic vibe. 'Glad' delivers a laid-back, Balearic flavour, with breezy guitar riffs and a relaxed island groove, offering a refreshing, chilled-out contrast. Meanwhile, the title track, 'Gynger', dives into trippy, psychedelic territory, swirling with hypnotic rhythms and spaced-out vibes that pull listeners deep into the groove. This release sees a band at the peak of their creativity, blending tight musicianship with a free-flowing, jam-like spirit. Flammer Dance Band's is clearly a leader in funk and Afrobeat, offering this fresh take on classic grooves with modern twists.

Blinding Erasure (2:18)
Review: Originally released in 2022 as a tour-exclusive physical-only edition, in an attempt "to give people a chance to experience our records for the first time again on a physical format and to give the people at our shows the first chance to do so", Baltimore deathgrind extreme metal auteurs Full Of Hell have finally re-pressed their chaotic Aurora Leaking From An Open Wound 7" for mass decimation. Totalling at six minutes spread out over three cuts of reliably horrific, cascading, blackened grinding hardcore mayhem, the project can now be viewed through a more retrospective lens following their expansive forays into grunge, noise-rock and shoegaze on last year's Nothing collaborative LP When No Birds Sang as well as their latest genre-dissolving fever-dream of a sixth full-length Coagulated Bliss. Take note, this single offers none of these future melodic and dynamic experiments, staying firmly rooted in their original domain of caustic, industrial-tinged cavernous dread.

Review: This album collects together some of the very earliest pre-Black Sabbath recordings by the group then called Earth (until the permanent name change in 1970), as well as including some pre-Judas Priest Glen Tipton tunes from Flying Hat - these tunes were from a 1973 demo that was recorded a year or two before. There is also a special bonus cut 'Blue Suede Shoes' that was performed as Black Sabbath and mighty one of their earliest ever sessions to make it onto tape and now vinyl for the first time.

Review: Originally released in 2014 and now celebrating its ten year anniversary, The Flesh Prevails would serve as the sophomore full-length from San Francisco based progressive death metal entity Fallujah. Heralded by many of the core fanbase to be both the band's finest work as well as the strongest of their initial three-album run with original vocalist Alex Hofmann before his departure following the release of 2016's Dreamless, there's a mercurial and poignant maturity to how the band approach their complex compositions. Coalescing aquatic, lysergic hues of buoyant prog soundscapes with dexterous, virtuosic levels of hyper technical death metal, their sonic maelstrom falls somewhere between the density of The Faceless, the brutality of Dying Fetus, and the expansive scope of Between The Buried & Me, resulting in a cosmic hybrid as transportive as it is oppressive.

Review: Family's final studio album, It's Only a Movie, celebrated its 50th birthday in late 2023. To mark the occasion, Esoteric has offered up this remastered, expanded edition. Disc one boats the original album, an extended fusion of blues, psychedelic rock, string-laden progressive rock and Country & Western-influenced Americana, as well as a handful of single B-sides, alternate takes and early versions of LP cuts. Over on disc two, we're treated to a mixture of BBC 'in concert' recordings (where their roots in the British blues explosion of the late 1960s are far more evident) and performances captured for BBC Radio One's legendary 'Top Gear' programme (which did much in the 1960s to bring Beatles performances to the masses).

Review: Fanny's 1970 debut album is a landmark in rock history, marking the first time an all-female band wrote, sang, and played their own songs with the same intensity as their male counterparts. Comprised of sisters June and Jean Millington, Alice De Buhr and Nickey Barclay, Fanny broke new ground as the first all-female band signed to a major label (Reprise), under the guidance of producer Richard Perry. Their energetic performances at the Whisky-a-Go-Go attracted rock's elite, although the press often dismissed them as a novelty act due to the lack of precedent. Despite this, Fanny became a reference point for future generations of female rockers, earning their place as the Godmothers of Chick Rock. Their sound, rooted in the mid-to-late 60s tradition, hints at the power pop of Big Star and the Raspberries while fitting comfortably alongside contemporaries like the Faces and Edgar Winter. Perry's production brings a warm, organic clarity, making Fanny's debut a textured, bass-heavy gem that commands both attention and respect.

Review: The self-titled debut album from one of the first all-girl rock bands. Fanny formed in 1969 and signed to Reprise records that year. The band had five albums in total until 1975 when they broke up fully. The band is influential for their playing and the lyrical topics the band wrote about with many citing them as an inspiration. The Cream cover 'Badge' got some airplay nationally from this album but otherwise, the album was not a commercial success. There are many historians that point to the lack of success of this band as sexism with the industry at the time for an all-girl rock band. The band gained a cult following from those who remember and kept the music playing. This reissue comes in a beautifully designed gatefold with great looking orange vinyl.

Review: The first official album released through Ipecac Records; the label of absurdist vocalist extraordinaire Mike Patton (Faith No More, a million other projects), was this self-titled debut from Fantomas, originally unveiled in 1999. A supergroup with no absolutely zero desire to make it easy on listeners, this culmination of Melvins mastermind Buzz Osborne on guitar, Mr Bungle/Tomahawk/regular Patton cohort Trevor Dunn on bass and Slayer's Dame Lombardo behind the kit, would coalesce all of their most extreme creative proclivities into one bizarre maelstrom of avant-garde cacophony that can barely be fit into the metal genre. Intended as the musical accompaniment to a fictitious comic book, with all track titles even listed as chapter/page numbers (a unique theme that would follow into all subsequent albums), the work has since been praised for its sonic abandon and artistic fearlessness, with one critic once referring to their avant-garde jazzy grindcore as "dada-metal". The project would also finally offer Patton the opportunity to prioritise his experimental forms of voice music and scat singing over traditional vocal cadence or standard lyricism.
