Magic happens when Villem and Mcleod collide. Both superb artists in their own right, their collaborative work is so on-point it should come with a safety warning. Here we find them back on Spearhead, following the heat of their "No More Games" EP. As usual, it's nothing but pure gold... Fats adds raw soul to the organic tones of "Perfect Solution", "If I Had" hits with silky style thanks to its fretless bass runs and steppy drums while "The Sea" is a whole new level of vocal D&B beauty thanks to the charms of Heidi Vogel (who most of us will recognised from her work with the Cinematic Orchestra) Finally we wind down to the lingering pianos and more dreamy fretless bass on "Unexpected". Ironically this level of quality and musicianship was fully expected...
