Destination: Memphis. Home to prolific writer and producer Lee Moore whose early 80s back cat is being celebrated by Jerome Derradji's Past Due imprint right now. Here we find them dipping into his work as The First Family on Score and LM Records. "Slow Motion" is a powerful synth boogie jam with warm synths, Rodgers-style guitar and rampant bass runs. "The First Family" takes thing up a notch with a disco / early house groove. The full emphasis is squared on the heavy hitting kick and popping slap bass groove but there's plenty of room for party chants, subtle organs in the background some sweet talkbox textures. Make sure you're first in the queue for this.
