As they proudly communicate on their Discogs page, Craig Clouse's Shit & Shine act are made up of a continuously fluxing collective of drummers and their "...style is hard, varied, and post-everything". That is exactly the same way that we see them, but our favourite aspect of their releases has to be the fact that we absolutely never expect what they come up with. They are a wild and surprising bunch who have injected a missing 'fun' element from experimental dance music and, whether they offer schizoid techno, weirdo house or full-blown noise, they execute their material like pros. Teardrops is their new LP and it most certainly falls under their more extravagant side; it's an album that delivers twelve raucous and unfriendly sonic experiments. The crew have conjured a deeply singular noise album because instead of relying on the same old tricks of distorting synth sounds as much as possible, they've approached this particular release from a doom metal perspective. This is proper nose bleed gear, and if you're of the sensitive disposition then this might be a little explicit for your tastes. We fucking love it.
