Amsterdam based Lonely Planets considers itself a guide for interplanetary backpackers and lost cosmonauts. Following up some great releases by Missing Crew Member and Sinan Alakus of Dilated Pupils, they now tap local lad Jack Roland for their third release. On the A side we have got "The Others", an intergalactic electro trip on the deeper tip, while "Lost" gets more up in your face in brooding and dystopian style that calls to mind the work of the legendary Carl Finlow. On the flip, Roland delves more into techier sounds, like on the tunnelling epic "Solar Panels" which we thought was a highlight. Closing out this fine EP is the deep lo-fi house shenanigans of "Porta 1" absolutely sublime in all its tape saturated glory and will appeal to all Lobster and E-Beamz fans for sure.
