Ipman aka Jack Gibbons from London has appeared on a who's who of labels that are considered as some of UK bass' finest such as Cold and Tempa. He now presents his third release for Bristol institution Tectonic, following up last year's brilliant Depatterning LP. On "Constrict" he serves up a pummelling and brutalist techno journey that's certainly heavy on the low end (be assured) plus some serious laser zaps that resonate violently; this one could impress the punters in Berlin's warehouse parties too! On the flip there's the brooding industrial behemoth titled "Running Man", featuring layers of textural and abrasive metal sounds that has earned him releases on labels like Osiris Musik.
