Launched back in 2010, the Jolly Jams label has consistently nailed it when it comes to contemporary disco in the 12" format. Label boss DJ Kaos returns to helm the 12th Jolly Jams 12" and the first of 2014 and the mood remains resplendent and groove laden throughout on Swoop. In original form, "Swoop" sees Kaos treat a classic array of disco drums and percussion to some sublime delay effects, with guitar solos and piano lending the cut a dash of the Balearics. Swiss don LEXX mans the flip with a Maurice Fulton does mid 80s proto-house refix that will get the DJs in a fluster whilst a final club edit toughens up the percussive backbone and adds a Latin hint.
