People Must Jam started 2017 in confident fashion, unveiling a brilliant loose, warm and jazzy EP from returning producer System Status. Here, they attempt to shine a light on another fast rising talent, Das Complex. The Polish producer is in predictably fine form from the word go, slapping down the hazy, bass-heavy dub disco grooves and delay-laden synths of "Under Feet". He wanders a little further towards red-eye deep house territory on the shuffling "W Podwodnym Pasniku", before ratcheting up the energy levels a notch or two on the jaunty, disco-tinged dub-house flex of "Bearded Dwarf". Arguably best of all, though, is closer "When", a bouncy and crispy cut that offers a near perfect fusion of dub-disco aesthetics and deep house bump.
