The latest reissue from the reliable Sonor Music Editions camp comes from Italian jazz guitarist Angelo Baroncini and fellow axe-slinger Bruno Battisto D'Amario, a musician better known for his contributions to Ennio Morricone's Spaghetti Western soundtracks. Music For Movement was initially recorded for an Italian music library in 1969, and saw the duo deliver a string of wonderfully psychedelic instrumental workouts. There are fuzzy, distortion-laden heavy rock smashers, surf-rock inspired curiosities and, most bizarrely of all, tracks that sound like Ennio Morricone after copious amounts of high-strength lysergic acid. It's utterly bonkers, but also really rather good. Sonor Music Editions only pressed up 500 copies, so cop one while you still can.
