Cat: FUSE 024. Rel: 23 May 16
Minimal/Tech House
  1. 87-88 (6:44)
  2. One Way To Pluto ((Vinyl Only)) (7:31)
  3. Adderall (7:41)
  4. 87-88 (Kilimanjaro dub - Enzo Siragusa & Alexkid remix) (6:41)
Review: Enzo Siragusa's Fuse London imprint is back with more top notch minimal grooves for the afterhours shift. Londoner Anthony DiFrancesco teams up with newcomer Samuel Bellis team up on the DB Productions project who serve us with some deep and rolling high fidelity grooves like "One Way To Pluto" which is paranoid and trance inducing; just perfect for the morning set for when things get weird. "Adderall" gives you a good kick just like its namesake; this one is more energetic and on the deep house tip but still loopy and hypnotic enough for perfect dancefloor dynamics. Finally "87-88" gets a remix by French deep house maestro Alexkid with label boss Siragusa himself and it's a good one: stripped, bass driven and functional.

Works On Sunday EP

Cat: FUSE 018 . Rel: 13 Jul 15
Minimal/Tech House
  1. Mind Blank (8:43)
  2. Works On Sunday (vinyl only) (7:47)
  3. Works On Sunday (Enzo Siragusa & Seb Zito remix) (6:44)
Review: Moscow Records boss Archie Hamilton appears this time on Enzo Siragusa's Fuse London imprint with these slices of rolling, Latin-infused tech-house for the beach party. This is the kind of stuff that lovers of Mindshake and Rawthentic will be all over. First up "Mind Blank" brings the tough yet sultry attitude that you could imagine playing peak time at Amnesia. "Works On Sunday" takes the tempo down a notch or two for something more suited to the afterhours, but just as sexy. There's also a remix of this on the flip by none other than label boss Siragusa with Seb Zito keeping the afterhours vibe intact but with a druggier, minimal take on things.

What's In The Box EP

Cat: FUSE 016. Rel: 06 Apr 15
Minimal/Tech House
  1. Defy (7:00)
  2. My Love (Vinyl Only) (5:38)
  3. Twang (6:13)
  4. Cannonball (6:01)
Review: It's a welcome return to FUSE for one of the London institution's main players in Rich NXT with What's In The Box (Seven reference anyone?) his first full release for the label in almost a year. Deep and dubby is how "Defy" rolls, a track largely defined by its playful keys, fizzing textures, and non-stop crisp groove, whilst the vinyl only "My Love" is a much more stripped back affair with the occasional vocal sample adding colour to a sparse production. On the B-side, "Twang" throws some Chi-town keys into the mixer before deviating into a rubbery sound that no doubt informed the title and "Cannonball" closes out the record with six minutes of minimal house brimming with atmosphere.

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Rich Nxt - "Badass" (6:55)
  2. Odd & Rossko - "Jabba The Hut" (8:06)
  3. Archie Hamilton - "Cirrus" (6:44)
  4. Sam Bellis - "Solstrole" (7:12)
Review: The FUSE London crew are back everyone, look out! Bringing the sound of their legendary daytime raves to us again and getting straight down to business on Enzo Siragusa's third edition of 5 are label mainstays Rich NxT (with the rolling and adrenalised "Badass") and the always impressive OdD aka Damian Daley & Danny Dixon joined by newcomer Rossko (making his production debut) on the rolling hypnotism of "Jabba The Hut". On the flip is Moscow Records boss Archie Hamilton (another mainstay of the label) with the woozy and tripped out after hours deepness of "Cirrus" and the Deep End Soundsystem affiliated Sam Bellis with the gutsy acid driven "Solstrole".

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Kilimanjaro 2
  2. Kilimanjaro 3 (vinyl only)
  3. Kilimanjaro 4
Review: There's minimal house goodness aplenty from this latest release on the Fuse imprint, with top dog of the outfit Enzo Sirgausa linking up with long-standing French champ Alexkid for three surefire club rockers. "Kilimanjaro 2" gets busy with its shuffly beat and wobbling sub bass, but there's still room for a blissful breakdown rich in sweeping pads and vocal licks. "Kilimanjaro 3" follows a similar groovy tact, with a more punchy bassline adding to the cheeky bump of the cut to great effect. Then "Kilimanjaro 4" rounds things off with a more spartan effort that places all the low end thump on the kick and keeps the top end percussion more delicate and poised for a different kind of effect in the heart of the night.

Minimal/Tech House
  1. Enzo Siragusa - "Desire" (8:09)
  2. Alexkid - "Wear Your Cape" (6:23)
Review: Fuse London still carries a flame for classic, mid noughties minimal. Who doesn't fondly remember the reductionist grooves of m_nus or Tuning Spork? What about the original secretsundaze or mulletover shindigs? Oh well, it's those nostalgics that Enzo Siragusa caters to, and does a fine job at that. The man himself appears first, with the tripped out and paranoid afterhours shuffle of "Desire", complete with creepy pitch shifted vocals; most likely elaborating on the experience of being in a sweaty, loud, windowless basement for way too long.. way into the afternoon! On the flip "Wear Your Cape" by Frenchman Alexkid gets a groove on that's a bit more upfront and uptempo, complimented by a sinister sub bass and random zaps and whirs.. hey, it's minimal! What more can we say: less is more.

  1. Never
  2. Sub Dubs III ((vinyl only))
  3. Never (Enzo Siragusa & Rich NxT Enrichment)
  4. Never (Ben Rau remix)
Review: The familiar figure of Seb Zito helms the tenth release on Fuse London which makes perfect sense with his status as resident at the affiliated London club of the same name gradually getting matched by his increasing production prowess. The Never EP marks Zito's third appearance on the label and sees him in deep and moody form on the title cut which drops out into the most seductive of vocal breakdowns, with the tougher "Subs Dubs 111" offering an element of contrast to the silky smooth opener. On the flip "Never" gets reworked two times over, with Enzo Siragusa and Rich Nxt's collective effort offering a more stripped back alternative to Ben Rau's richly melodic remix.

  1. Burnaby (Vinyl Only) (10:18)
  2. Holywell (11:18)
Review: London minimal pusher Seb Zito is back; he's proven to be a label mainstay these days on Enzo Siragusa's Fuse London imprint but these grooves aren't as reduced and afterhours leaning as usual which makes his new direction a welcome change. He serves up some fierce and jacking tech house with emotive elements on "Burnaby" and as it says in brackets: this is vinyl only! On the flip the fun continues on "Holywell" a pumping deep house groove with some thumping 909 energy, moody pads and all round boompty goodness included.
