  1. Call Super - "Fluenka Spoke" (9:01)
  2. Shanti Celeste - "Hinoki" (7:13)
Review: For the second installment in Dekmantel's ongoing 10th anniversary series, the well-regarded Dutch label has recruited two notable talents: man-for-all-seasons Call Super, and fast-rising producer Shanti Celeste. Call Super's A-side excursion is a pleasingly tactile, spacey and rubbery affair, with vintage bleeps and Motor City electronics crowding around a drum machine groove that sits somewhere between body popping electro and loved-up deep house. Shanti Celeste takes a different approach on the flip, fusing her usual mood-enhancing synthesizer chords and melodies with a raw, energy-filled rhythm track that owes more to late night techno than the sumptuous deep house of her early productions.

  3. Funkynoizer (Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco mix) (7:45)
  4. Funkynoizer (DJ Rocca Boogie mix) (6:04)
Review: The fabulous "Funkynoizer" is typical of Daniele Baldelli and DJ Rocca's previous collaborative work, melding as it does spacey, cosmic electronics and alien noises with delay-laden guitar flourishes, funk-fuelled bass and dubbed-out horn lines. It's really rather good and comes accompanied by a trio of remixes. Selvagem embraces the duo's instinctive musical insanity while dragging "Funknoizer" further towards dub disco territory, before Pete Herbert and Dicky Trisco lay down a summery, dub-flecked Balearic disco interpretation. DJ Rocca rounds things off with a "Boogie" mix of his own that cannily draws out the original's synth bassline while adding jangling piano riffs seemingly inspired by Cheryl Lynn's "To Be Real".

Review: Back by popular demand is a limited edition repress of Marta Ren & The Groovelvets "I'm Not Your Regular Woman" on a clear 45 vinyl. Originally released in 2015, the record sold out in few weeks and became another hard to find funk must have for DJs and collectors alike. If you've missed the first around, you'd better get on it quickly as this time it's limited to 150 copies worldwide. On the flip, there's the 'afro-tastic scorcher' "Be Ma Fela". The tracks are taken from the band's impressive debut album entitled Stop Look Listen.

Review: Last autumn, Andrea La Pietra impressed with a debut double-pack on Melliflow that variously doffed a cap to Detroit futurism, jack-tracks, off-kilter electro and deep techno. Unsurprisingly, this follow-up EP boasts a similar amount of dancefloor eclecticism. After beginning with the bleeps, wobble bass and funk-fuelled tech-house beats of "Theoretically", he variously doffs a cap to classic Swag material (the undulating machine funk of "Dream Catcher", deep and woozy house ("Random Continuity"), and UK garage-influenced electro (the sub-heavy, funk-fuelled surge of "Into A Liquid Broken Place"). Happily, it all sounds club ready, with the latter track sounding like a late night anthem in the making.

Review: Leon Revol is a producer from Bordeaux, France. Formerly known as Leonid. (with a full stop) some of you may know him from his releases on labels such as personal and Boutade Musique. Under his birth name this will mark his second release since last year. On the A side we've got the deep, jazzy and soulful jam "Far With A Van" which kinda reminds us of those summery jams from the early noughties by Ian Pooley and St Germain. Also on offer is the sublime and ethereal with its reversed guitars semi-showgaze style, dusty beats and all round emotive elements bound to get some smiley faces on the dancefloor. On the flip an honorable mention to the dubby and hypnotic bliss of "St James" which takes it down a notch or two in great style.

Review: Pocket Money is an independent label based out of Manchester dedicated to releasing modern underground house music with rhythm and soul, influenced by New York, Detroit and Chicago. They return with their fifth release to date, this time collaborating with Polish artist Soul Habitat: an artist firmly rooted in the deeper end of the house pool and this EP is a shining example of his commitment to it. Starting off with the smooth and sexy late night deepness of "8th Avenue" which is reminiscent of local Manchester legend Greg Fenton, the flipside shows off some real panache too with "The Feeling" which is an emotive and uplifting vocal house scorcher (with a razor sharp bassline) and then the absolutely electric Mr Fingers tribute "Class Of 909".

Review: Mask-wearing eccentric Solitary Dancer made his vinyl debut last year, delivering an EP of alternately dark and ghostly electro workouts on Graded. Here he pops up on San Francisco's mighty Dark Entries imprint with more analogue-rich chunks of atmospheric electro. He begins with the sub-bass heavy shuffle and restless synthesizer melodies of the moody, EBM-influenced "Anything", before melding demonic voices and trippy electronics to a bombastic electro beat on "Losing Touch". Flip to the B-side for the dark Italo throb of "Emails 2 Myself", where Marie Davidson provides a particularly stylish spoken word vocal. It's accompanied by the Out of Office version, which strips out Davidson's vocal to give the instrumental groove more room to breathe.

Review: Consistently on-point and expertly dug, Originals continue to join the dots with creativity. Here we rewind to 1973 for Babe Ruth's biggest cut "The Mexican". Its lolloping, rolling bassline and spacious drums have been sampled by many but Organised Konfusion's use is definitely one of the best. Needle down and listen as Prince Po and Pharoahe Monche lay down lucid 1991 flows with a serious political agenda that's still just as resonant today. Timeless on both sides.

Review: Given his love of dusty sample manipulation, obscure source material, hazy deep house grooves and jazzy hip-hop beats, it's perhaps unsurprising that Robert "Cuthead" Arnold is on Mad Mats and Tooli's radar. Arnold is predictably in fine form on this first outing for the duo's Local Talk label. Fuck That Shit is packed full of highlights, not least the bumping title track, where cut-up hip-hop vocal samples ride a bustling, bumping, snare-heavy rhythm track. Also impressive is the similarly minded "Get Down" and "Potato Express", which is warm, jazzy, positive and laden with tasty jazz-funk, soul and disco samples. As usual, he rounds things off with a dash of blazed, Dilla-esque MPC abuse, in this case instrumental hip-hop shuffler "What Can I Say".

Review: After the success of his debut album, Burnski returns to Constant Sound with a 4 tracker designed for the dance floor. "Circuits" opens this new EP - for his own Constant Sound label - with a fiery, electrifying procession of telly drums and fidgety percussion folds, and this is stripped back even further on the magnetic banger entitled "X". Over on the B-side, "Flight 723" aptly takes us on a deeper journey, filled with mysterious synths tricks and imperceptible pad sounds, while "Lost In Translation" clicks away to a more familiar minimal tone, rounded off and sleeked into motion by deep, wondrous gleams of dubbiness.

Review: Amphia co-founder Cristi Cons has been rather quiet of late, having previously impressed with a swathe of solo and collaborative EPs in early 2016. Here, the Romanian producer returns to action for the first time in 2017 via a rock solid collection of cuts, which come stretched across two weighty slabs of wax. As you might expect, all four tracks sit neatly into the now familiar Romanian tech-house style, which combines the crackling textures and production intricacy of minimal techno with the head-nodding shuffle of tech-house drum programming. Our highlight is probably super-odd closer "Mutual", which boasts some serious sub-bass and plenty of odd electronic noises, though the slightly more symphonic "Perceptual" is not far behind.

Review: A pioneer since the early '90s and, not to mention, an originator of the "wonky" side of hard-hitting techno, Scotland's Neil Landstrumm is an artist to be treated with the upmost respect by the wider dance scene. Aside from an endless variety of releases for labels like Peacefrog back in their golden era, Landstrumm has never compromised on a single aspect of his music, and he's always stuck to offering his own version of techno - there ain't a hint of bandwagons here! This latest release sees him rock up on the fabulously off-kilter Giallo Disco imprint, active in the game since 2012 and masters of their own universe. While these five killers are perhaps slightly less deadly than their 90s counterparts, that inimitable Landstrumm sound is very much there, only subtly masqueraded by a more disco-leaning cosmetic makeover. If you're into raw, effective floor trax then you should look no further. All killer, no filler...

House Crime were quick to pick up on the distinctive qualities in his lo-fi, pumped up sound and following on from an appearance on House Crime Vol. 1. BC is back with a whopping great double pack of killer jams from the wild side of the outboard brigade. Start to finish it's a collection of wondefully grubby but utterly fresh jams.

He's at it again on this follow-up. On the A-side, he takes his rusty scalpel to Kool & The Gang's meandering, 1970 instrumental cut "Give It Up", emphasizing the original's killer break and snaking saxophone lines. On the flip he takes a similar approach to reworking Aretha Franklin's peerless "Rock Steady", subtly tightening up the groove whilst emphasizing the bumping nature of the original beats.

He's done a fine job, too, delivering reworks that suit contemporary dancefloors, while paying due reverence to the superb source material. He begins by rearranging and extending Shirley Lites' most famous moment, the boogie-era brilliance of "Heat You Up (Melt You Down)", before slicing together bits of the vocal and instrumental versions of Love Club's steamy electrofunk slammer "Hot Summer Nights". On the flip, he heads towards more traditional disco territory, first cutting up Kenix's sweet hearted "There's Never Been (No One Like You)", before reaching for the dub effects on a brilliant revision of Sweet Life's "I Get Lifted".

Tascam DR 05V2 Digital Audio Recorder With 4GB Micro SD Card

More than 10 in stock $77.76

Simple to use 24bit/96kHz Digital Recorder with Omnidirectional Microphones
Notes: TASCAM's DR-05 brings high-quality stereo recording to an easy-to-use portable powerhouse with a size and price that anyone can handle. The DR-05 records in MP3 or WAV format - including 96kHz/24-bit high-resolution audio - to microSD or microSDHC media. A pair of all-new microphones handles up to 125dB SPL with the sensitivity to capture every detail. With new recording features like Peak Reduction and Quick Menu, the DR-05 puts album-quality recording in the palm of your hand.

Everything about the DR-05 is designed to get the best quality recordings of your music. A new pair of built-in microphones withstands up to 125dB SPL - the volume of a jet plane from 200 feet away - yet still have the sensitivity to capture every detail of a performance. You can add your own microphone or line-level source through the 1/8" stereo input, including plug-in power for microphones that need it.

Internally, the DR-05's digital and analog circuit boards are built separately to increase noise performance, with a low-impedance design to further decrease hiss. A separate power supply is sent to the A/D and D/A converter for even better audio performance. The result is clean sound quality - over 92dB signal to noise ratio, under 0.05% total harmonic distortion and 20Hz to 40kHz response (-1/+3dB) at 96kHz/24-bit resolution.

The layout of the DR-05 has been revamped to be quick and easy to work with one thumb. Operations like recording, adjusting levels, deleting bad takes and adding markers are just a button press away. Dig deeper to find features like limiting, low cut filtering, a built-in chromatic tuner and more.

One new feature that makes the DR-05 easy to operate is the new Peak Reduction feature. This setting automatically sets your recording level by listening to the input and adjusting for the best level. Unlike Auto Gain settings, this one only goes down to prevent accidental distortion after a period of low level like a break. Peak Recording works in rehearsal mode or in record, so if the performance is louder than the soundcheck you're still safe. Used with the built-in limiter, it's unlikely you'll distort your career-making live recording.

Other classic TASCAM features are included, like Variable Speed Audition to loop and slow down music without changing the pitch - perfect for transcribing or learning new music. A Level Align function can be switched on for playback, to smooth out any sudden volume jumps, and a built-in speaker is also provided. The two AA batteries are enough to power the recorder for 17 1/2 hours, even while recording at CD quality.

For musicians and recordists at any stage of their career, there's no easier way to get great-sounding recordings than Tascam's DR-05.

The "DR-05" is equipped with omnidirectional stereo condenser microphones that can not only record sounds directly in front of the microphones but also record ambient sound from all directions. This is great for capturing the excitement from the audience such as at live events, producing realistic recordings. The recording format is compatible with 24bit/96kHz, which is higher than CD quality.

Proven high sound pressure design that is perfect for loud recordings such as bands or passing trains. It can be used for recoding quiet sound sources such as lectures or for loud sound sources such as rock bands.

The peak reduction function automatically lowers the level when a peak sound is detected and continues recording. The level can be set automatically according to the sound source, so it is easy for anyone to set the optimal level.
The "DR-05" has a total of three different input signal level adjustment functions including a peak reduction function.

The overdubbing function allows for overdub recording while playing a recorded file. This can allow you to record other parts of a musical production such as a guitar solo over a recording made at a rehearsal studio later at home. Overdubbing creates a new file, leaving the original file unaffected, making it easy to rerecord.

Reverb can be added for music demo recordings and overdub recordings to add a more natural resonance. Reverb can also be used during playback, making it possible to express the 'live' feeling at a hall by adding reverb to created music.

Records and pauses automatically. If the input signal level falls below the nominal level for more than 5 seconds during recording, it automatically switches to standby. If the input sound level rises above the nominal level again, recording restarts as a new file. This is useful when you do not want to record unnecessary portions such as lecture intermissions.

If the input signal level falls below the nominal level for more than 5 seconds during recording, it sets a mark when it rises above the nominal level again. 2. Chicago To Detroit (Brian Chicago Sur Seine mix) (5:10)
  3. Chicago To Detroit (Patrice Scott remix) (7:04)
Review: From Moods & Grooves to Sistrum, Brian Harden has served up more than enough soulful, synth-led house and techno in his time. It's just the kind of style that suits the mood on D3, and so the label has picked up his essential "Chicago To Detroit" jam and called upon a fine selection of remixers to rework the track. First up is Byron The Aquarius, who drops some expressive broken beat drums into the mix to spar with the illustrious melodic tones to great effect. Meanwhile the label boss Brian gets busy with a classic, straight-up adaptation on his "Chicago Sur Seine Mix" before Patrice Scott opts for an energised variation with poignant new Rhodes-esque keys floating on top.

Review: Without fanfare or fuss, Blend It Records' Black Aroma edits series has become a 'must-check' for disco DJs. There's a good chance that this ninth installment, which once again sees main man Twice at the helm, will also fly off the shelves. The quality threshold remains ridiculously high throughout, from the celebratory disco-funk strut of opener "Get Down Party People", to the starry-eyed, loved-up bliss of downtempo jazz-funk closer "Sunset Cruise". Our favourite is probably the ludicrously sweaty "Button Up" - all elastic slap-bass, layered percussion hits and sweet electric piano chords - but the obscure '80s soul diversion "If You Wanna Dance" (a co-production with crate digger Volcov) pushes it close.

Review: Having recently resurfaced via his Red Ember label and a further run of essential releases on Going Good, Hardworksoftdrink and many more, Ewan Jansen is in fine fettle now as he shores up to Inner Shift with some high class house music for the heads. "Docking Lane" is as deep as they get, but that doesn't come at the cost of the beat which strides forth with purpose underneath the hum of the pads. "Bulkhead" gets a classic Latin drum machine vibe going, "Deceleration" takes things lighter and sparser, and then "Perspex" finishes the EP off with some warm, funky fare. Throughout the EP, Jansen's link to the formative years of deep house shine through - this is the sound of someone who knows what they're doing.

USB device that stores licenses for iLok-enabled software
Notes: How does it work and why do I need one:
The iLok is a special USB device that holds your licenses for iLok-enabled software. Software publishers use the iLok to provide secure protection for their software. When you run their iLok-enabled software, it looks for the software license on your attached iLok.

The Third Generation iLok:
Smaller, faster, and with even greater capacity, the new iLok is here! The Third Generation iLok is fully compatible with software created for the second generation iLok. With its smaller form factor and metal body, it is more robust and less prone to casual damage.

iLok Benefits:
- It's portable - you can authorize your software anywhere it is installed. At home, work, or at a remote location, you can keep your software licenses with you, not on your computer.
- It's convenient and cross-platform - Store your Mac and Windows iLok-enabled software licenses all on a single iLok. A Third Generation iLok can hold over 1500 licenses.
- Worry Free - Your licenses are on the safest, most secure solution: the iLok. With Zero Downtime protection available, you've got 24/7 peace of mind.

Managing your licenses has never been so easy. Using the iLok License Manager application, you can:
- View what is on your iLok(s)
- Download new licenses from participating software publishers
- Manage your licenses, including moving them between iLoks within your account and from your iLoks back to your account
- Transfer licenses to other iLok.com accounts

What do I need in order to use my iLok?

In order to use an iLok, you'll need at least 3 things:
- Your iLok
- A license for the iLok-protected software you want to run (you'll need to have the publisher place this license in your account or send you an Activation code)
- The software that is iLok protected (usually a download from the Publisher's or retailer's website, we do not host those on this site)

Anything else?

Your iLok will need special License Support software in order to talk to the protected software. Your protected software most likely installed this special software, but you can always get the latest version of this software by installing the iLok License Manager.

Review: It's been a quiet year for Kai Alce, but finally the Atlanta house hero returns with a new pair of tracks that will surely satisfy any fans of his instinctive, expressive take on club-ready deep house. This latest drop comes on Sounds Of The City, which has also supported the likes of Walt J and Brian Harden. "Just Wanna" is a sure and steady workout peppered with woozy chords and a nagging vocal lick, but "Movin Thru" is surely the record's stand-out moment. With just the right balance between the edgy chords and the rounded bassline, it's a simple cocktail that plays to Alce's strengths perfectly.

Review: After many years as a digital label, Ukranian label Manuscript makes the leap to vinyl with a choice selection of tracks enjoying the reissue treatment. Herbert's "Never Give Up" originally landed in 1997 as one of the peak moments in his purest phase of deep house production, and sounds just as fresh on this new pressing. Meanwhile forgotten jazz house jam "Sometimes I'm Blue" by Nick Holder gets a fresh airing, and deservedly so. Label boss Vincent Inc rounds the record off with his remix of Pluto's "Show Me Your Love", making a richly textured, shimmering deep house jam loaded with seductive tension.

Review: Different Shapes & Sizes is a new, three part series of EPs from Berlin resident Spencer Parker forthcoming on his Work Them Records imprint over the next few months. Conceived as a neat way of showcasing Parker's love for different shades of house and techno, The third installment takes a walk through the Rekids artist's love for the subtle differences in the genres he tends to focus on in most in his sets. On the A side is the tough and rugged DJ tool "Riff Shapes" with its steely funk groove and hypnotic piano loops geared for some proper Sunday afternoon debauchery up at Panorama Bar: where Spencer is a regular at. On the flip "Size: Yes" goes for en equally stomping and attitude driven house jam more inspired by an early '90s NYC basement vibe.

Review: Soundway Records' recent Doin' It In Lagos compilation did a terrific job shining a light on the lesser-known boogie and disco-funk sound of early '80s Nigeria. That set included Livy Ekezemie's "Holiday Actions", one of the standout cuts from the musician/producer's brilliant - but ludicrously hard to find - 1983 album, Friday Night. This reissue is, then, well timed. The set sees Ekezemie effortlessly join the dots between Clavinet-heavy, Afro-tiged disco-funk, boogie, AOR ballads and, in the case of the brilliant "Dedication", his own tribute to Stevie Wonder classic "Superstition". It's a fine set, all told, and one that's shot through with hard-wired early '80s funk.

F but on the label's second various artists compilation: the Phaenomena EP they present Welsh analogue house hero Tom Ellis who serves up the deep and dubby bump 'n' shuffle of "Vibe Of A Drum" which we particularly enjoyed, Swiss youngsters Nicola Kazimir & Barbir (who are on form as always) with the dirty electro-funk jam "Sircolin". On the flip it belongs entirely to another Swiss upstart in the form of Adva, who had us really impressed with he swinging and dubby house shenanigans of "Big Dreams" and "Dust" which fit right in with the current fashionable sounds of S.A.M. or Julian Perez.

Review: 1972's eponymous debut album from groundbreaking British band Cymande is one of those records you should really own. If you don't, then pick up a copy of this handy reissue. Not only does it contain a string of classic cuts - think "Bra", "The Message" and the epic, undulating deep jazz-funk workout "Dove" - but also provides a perfect summary of the band's unique fusion of American, Caribbean and African influences. Many albums get called "timeless", but few genuinely are. Cymande certainly is, with the album's lesser-known cuts - the wonderful "Rastafarian Folk Song" or the appropriately blazed "Getting It Back" - being every bit as impressive as those that have been widely celebrated.

Review: The latest transmission of M Plant's 20th Anniversary celebrations sees label boss Robert Hood come through with some self styled 'replants' of recent Floorplan material. "Never Grow Old" of course originates from Hood's triumphant 2013 Floorplan LP Paradise, arriving midway through and impressive enough to feature in Ben Klock's Fabric mix. Here the gospel vibes remain but they are complemented by a searing Motor City key line that is really quite hypnotic over it's seven minute duration. Complementing this is a replant of "Phobia", one of Hood's last releases of 2013 which evens out the hoover rave overtones of the original in favour of some trippy synth loops that prove just as effective.

Review: Back in 2012, Will "Quantic" Holland joined forces with Colombian musician Mario Galeano to form Ondatropica. The eponymous debut album that followed was quietly impressive, fusing traditional South American styles - cumbia, champeta etc. - with elements of hip-hop and funk, with the assistance of musicians from the vibrant Colombian scene. For this belated follow-up, the duo has tweaked the formula slightly, incorporating more from the Caribbean and African influences that have seeped into the music made around Bogota and Old Providence Island. While the palette of influences made be broader, the resultant music is every bit as enjoyable and entertaining as that found on its predecessor.

Three years on, the experienced duo has finally recorded a debut album. It's naturally imaginative, eclectic and atmospheric in tone, effortlessly gliding between humid, Afro-influenced deepness ("Midnattsol"), dark and spacey dancefloor moods ("Samsa"), fuzzy epics ("Six Million Ways"), hushed tech-house ("The Ghosts Hood"), stretched-out wonkiness (the hypnotic "Dins El Lit"), and a variety of intriguing downtempo explorations. It's largely left-of-centre and mostly not focused on the club, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Certainly, it's a fine collection of music.
