Ableton Live 9 Standard Edition (audio production software)
Cat: 482776 Rel: 11 Mar 13

Music Production & Performance Software
Notes: What is Live?
Live is software for creating musical ideas, turning them into finished songs, and even taking them onto the stage. With two views - the classic Arrangement View, where musical ideas are laid out along a timeline, and the unique Session View, where you can improvise and quickly experiment with musical ideas - Live is a fast, fun, intuitive way to make music.

Create:
No matter what instruments you use to create, Live helps you get your ideas down quickly. Live's Session View is a musical sketchpad you can use to mix and match musical ideas without the constraints of a timeline. Advanced warping features mean you can change the tempo and timing of any audio, in real time, without stopping the music. Use Live's unique audio-to-MIDI conversion tools to turn drum breaks, guitar lines, or even harmony parts into MIDI patterns that you can edit and reuse with your own sounds. And with Live's Racks you can make creative combinations of instruments and effects and control them with customized macros.

Finish:
From arranging to mixing to mastering, Live has workflows that will help you go from song ideas to finished tracks. You can organize and edit your music in a traditional timeline in Arrangement View, or improvise your way to a finished song, recording everything you do in Session view. And Live has all the tools you need to get your mix or master sounding great - everything from precise EQs to warm, vintage compressors.

Perform:
Live's Session View is the perfect environment for improvising and playing live - everything stays in sync, so you can mix and match audio at any tempo and never have to think about lining things up. Whether you're playing a solo performance with hardware or software instruments, or processing audio with a live band, Live has got everything you need. And it's perfect for jamming hands-on: Live works with any MIDI controller, and you can map knobs, faders, and buttons to control almost anything.

Updates and improvements:
Regular version updates means Live 9 users get new creative tools and features. Live 9.7 brought new slicing features to Simpler, adding to the wealth of new sampling possibilities offered since the 9.5 update. Also in 9.5 were new vintage-sounding analog-modelled filters and improved waveforms and monitoring, while 9.2 added refinements and improvements to Live's audio warping engine and a new Tuner device.

Then there's Link: Ableton's new technology that keeps software in time over a wireless network. Now a built-in feature of Live and a growing number of other applications, it makes playing together with multiple devices a lot simpler.

Create, produce and perform:
Create ideas, make changes without stopping, and capture everything as you work. If you've used music software before, you're already familiar with one half of Ableton Live. Live's Arrangement View is a familiar working space: time moves from left to right, while tracks are stacked vertically. But Live also features the revolutionary Session View: a unique sketchpad for improvising, playing and performing with musical ideas, without the constraints of the timeline. Freely and independently start and stop any number of audio or MIDI loops - everything stays in sync. Almost everything in Live works in real-time - add, reorder or remove devices, play with Live's flexible track routing and more - all without interrupting your creative flow.

Ableton Push 2 Instrument With Ableton Live 9 Intro Software

Cat: 592164 Rel: 09 Nov 15

New version of Ableton's hardware instrument for hands-on playability with Ableton Live 9.5 - play or step sequence beats, notes, chords and automation
Notes: What is Push?
Push is a hardware instrument designed and engineered entirely by Ableton for a music-making experience that is as hands-on, expressive and closely integrated with Live as possible. Push and Live work together seamlessly to let you make beats, play notes and chords, work with samples and develop song structure - all without needing to look at a computer.

Make beats:
Browse, preview and load your own sounds for making beats, or access Live's vast library of drums. Then play beats live with the 64 velocity-sensitive pads and adjust sounds and kits while you play, using eight touch-sensitive endless encoders. Or switch to a 16-pad mode that allows you to play in real time, step sequence beats, and adjust the length of your loop, all at the same time.

You can also tweak timing, velocity, and parameter values individually for each pad. And the free Live 9.7 update has brought the 16 Velocities drum layout, an alternative way of making dynamic beats, with 16 set velocity levels for playing or programming patterns.

Play notes and chords:
Push's pads correspond to pitches, and offer a condensed layout that encourages a fresh approach to melody and harmony: large intervals can be reached easily, and patterns can be played with the same fingerings in all keys. You can select a key and scale with the touch of a button, and Push's touch slider can be used for pitch bend or modulation.

Push also lets you step sequence notes and chords: use the pads to enter notes, then make precise timing changes, create variations or adjust note length and velocity. You can even step sequence automation: record a parameter's value for each step to create rhythmic, quantized parameter changes that are locked to specific notes in your loop.

Work with samples:
Three separate workflows offer fast and flexible ways to get creative with your samples. Classic mode lets you turn melodic samples into playable pitched instruments. In One Shot mode, samples playback monophonically and all the way through, no matter how long you hold the pad - perfect for playing drums. You can also transpose a playing sample without retriggering it, allowing you to transform musical phrases into whole new melodies.

Slicing mode is designed for chopping up longer samples. With the Live 9.7 update you can now slice by beat division and region, or manually set slices, and instantly play each slice on a different pad. It's perfect for rearranging loops on the fly or for creating drum kits from recorded grooves. Plus you can now select and record audio and MIDI ins and outs directly from Push, so you can sample your external gear and more, without disrupting your flow.

Beautiful and playable:
Everything about Push has been carefully considered to provide a quality playing experience. The multi-colour display adapts to show you exactly what you need to help you stay in the creative flow without adding distraction. Push's pads have been designed to feel soft, smooth and responsive - perfect for creating expressive beats and melodies.

Push is equally at home in the studio or on stage. You can keep your performances in-the-moment by switching between improvising with loops and playing drums, notes, and chords - all from the same playing surface.

Seamless with Live:
Using Push, you can launch clips and scenes, tweak device parameters and control mixer levels and sends - Live can capture every movement. When you're ready, switch from Push to your computer to find your music already laid out in Live - the software that was powering your work the whole time.

Adam A3X Active Studio Monitor (single, black)

MRP:$303.69 SAVE 33%
 6 in stock $202.46
Cat: 423745 Rel: 18 Apr 11

Single nearfield/desktop monitor
Notes: With the A3X monitor, ADAM present their smallest monitor to date, making it perfectly suited for all environments where space is limited but sound shouldn't be constricted. The A3X monitor combines a tiny footprint with the much acclaimed ADAM sound quality by using the X-ART tweeter for the higher frequencies and a guarantee for crystal clear music reproduction.

A 4.5" (basket) driver handles the lower registers. The diaphragm is made from carbon fiber, a material that is very light but very stiff and therefore capable of delivering colouring-free sound. 2 built-in 25W amplifiers powers each of the drivers directly.

A very handy and exclusive technology found in the 2 smaller AX monitors is the Stereolink. This is accomplished by a pair of additional RCA connections that allow for a bypass of the second stereo channel to the other speaker. This new technology connects 2 A3X monitors in such a manner as to allow the user the option to control the overall stereo volume of the system from either speaker's gain control. This makes the A3X monitor a natural for mixer-less desktop applications where overall system volume needs to be adjusted easily.

The front of the A3X monitor sports dual ports for surprisingly low frequency response down to 60Hz. The front panel also has power and gain controls. The rear panel includes a tweeter gain control as well as balanced (XLR) jacks and unbalanced (RCA) jacks, allowing for greater connection flexibility. There are also 2 M6 (6mm) metric screw threads for stand/wall mounting.

Pair of nearfield/desktop monitor
Notes: The small Adam A5 monitor managed to make itself a big name in both professional environments as well as in computer or desktop applications. A wealth of truly outstanding reviews and many awards helped to establish this speaker as one of the best small monitors and a great choice for the small studio. The similar dimensions and name could make one believe that the Adam A5X monitor is nothing more than a new version of the A5. A quick listening however leaves no doubt that the A5X is much more than that.

The Adam A5X monitor features the proprietary X-ART tweeter. The very data of this technology shows that it is at the forefront of what tweeters can accomplish. Numerous listening tests have confirmed this.

A 5.5" Midwoofer reproduces the frequencies below 2.5 kHz. The diaphragm is made from carbon fiber/rohacell/glass fiber. This composite material with minimum weight and maximum rigidity prevents break up resonances, resulting in an outstanding dynamic behaviour and impeccable sound characteristics.

Adam A77X Active Horizontal Studio Monitors (A & B matched pair, black)
 カートに入れる
 1 in stock $1,502.30
Cat: 591617 Rel: 26 Oct 15

Pair of matched, horizontally designed monitors with 7" woofers
Notes: The A77X is a horizontally designed monitor that combines all of the technical innovations in the AX-Series. Due to its powerful, compression-free sound reproduction and excellent radiation characteristics, it is suitable both for nearfield and midfield monitoring.

The special feature of the A77X is its 2 1/2-way system. Both 7" woofers start to work together at 38 Hz and at 400 Hz one woofer fades out and only the second woofer continues to operate in the midrange up to 3 kHz. This prevents interferences and possible phase cancellation in the critical midrange. Even though frequency transitions and potential distortions lie outside these areas, the human ear is particularly sensitive to midrange frequencies.

Especially noteworthy in the A77X is the extremely wide stereo foundation and brilliant stereo imaging. Treble and mids are reproduced with three-dimensional realism and the lows are, as expected from a double woofer design, massive without compromising on precision.

Notes: With the A7X monitor, Adam Audio proudly presents the evolution of a legend. The first aspect that distinguishes the old from the new model is the X-ART tweeter. The X stands for eXtended frequency response and thus for one of the features of the accelerating ribbon technology that has been drastically improved: the frequency response. It now extends all the way up to 50 kHz. In addition, the X-ART tweeter has a higher efficiency and higher maximum sound pressure levels.

The perfect integration with the lower frequencies has been achieved with a newly designed 7" midwoofer. It has been redesigned with a much bigger voice coil (1.5") and is driven by an amplifier with twice the power compared to its predecessor. This combination produces an amazing sound and pressure levels with an almost distortion-free musical reproduction.

Each driver has its own dedicated amplifier. A 50W A/B amp is responsible for the X-ART tweeter, while the midwoofer is being driven by a 100W PWM amp. The front panel includes a power switch and a control for the volume that retains the volume setting independently from the on/off switch.

On the rear panel are several additional controls: a gain for the high frequencies (-/+ 4 dB) and 2 shelf filters for high and low frequencies. To ensure greater compatibility, there are both XLR (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) connectors.

Assign FX on the fly, tweak their parameters, and layer FX types with tactile, responsive control that incorporates a dramatic "twist" knobs that react to the human touch. In Touch mode, each knob responds to a twist, a touch, or a combination of both. A rotary-push knob and corresponding backlit LCD screen provides easy parameter adjustment and confirmation. For DJs adding FX controls to a Serato NoiseMAP setup (timecode vinyl), AFX even provides DVS-mode switching, keeping your interaction with the computer trackpad or mouse at a minimum.

Eight velocity-sensitive trigger pads get the ideas in your head to the tips of your fingers. With 10 pad modes, AFX gives you ample freedom to trigger samples, manage loops, assign hot-cues, and slice tracks. With backlit RGB feedback, you will always know which mode you have selected in addition to real-time pad performance feedback. Akai Professional knows pads - the iconic MPC line is a staple for producing electronic music using pad-oriented sample-triggering - and responds to each press, tap, or slam as musically as possible. From the AFX, DJs can construct (or deconstruct) entire performances from the pads, taking creativity to a whole new level.

AFX has deep integration with Serato DJ's Flip Expansion Pack. Flip allows you to record your cue point and censor actions which can be saved and looped, ready to re-trigger and start in an instant. Use Serato Flip to create and save up to 6 Flips per track, ready for playback in the studio or the club. A total of 9 touch-activated knobs unlock all-new FX capabilities - planned or improvised.

Flip can be used to create and play back custom song edits ranging from extended intros/outtros, breakdowns, making beats, skipping verses or choruses, and creating clean edits of songs. Even more, AFX includes Serato's Backpack FX Expansion pack to give your sets a boost using a dub collection of analog-style effects - echo's, loopers, filters, and time stretch.

DJ controller keyboard specifically designed for seamless integration with Abelton Live
Notes: In 2009, Akai Professional collaborated with the creators of Ableton Live, a powerful music performance and production software environment, and introduced the original Ableton Performance ControlleriAPC40. The instrument raised the standards of controller design, revolutionized hardware and software integration, and proved to be an essential performance tool for Ableton Live users everywhere. Now, after incorporating five years of user feedback into their development, Akai Professional builds upon this original partnership by introducing three new APCs - APC40 mkII, APC Key 25, and APC mini.

Designed for the performing musician or the conventional composer, APC Key 25 is the first Ableton Live controller from Akai Professional that is equipped with a high-performance keyboard. Uniting the power of a clip-launching panel with a keyboard interface, APC Key 25 couples real-time control of Ableton Live with traditional composition tools: create melodies, compose bass lines, and play chords with 25 synth-action mini keys. Plus, dedicated buttons for Octave Up, Octave Down, and Sustain expand the expressive capabilities of the keyboard, enabling you to tap into the full melodic range and perform with classic piano-style sustain.

APC Key 25 features a 5x8 multicolor clip-launching grid that's built for dexterous exploration: launch clips and create or perform your song from the ground up using 40 responsive triggers. Tri-color lighting provides visual feedback and displays three clip statuses - loaded, playing, and recording - so you can intelligently perform without looking at your computer. Plus, you can use the Shift button and directional arrows to manipulate the scope of the 5x8 grid.

APC Key 25 comes equipped with eight control knobs that are laid out next to the clip-launching grid for easy tweaking. Users can change knob functionality with the dedicated buttons for volume, pan, sends, and device control: fade clips in and out of the mix; pan instruments to the left, right, or center; raise the level of reverb or other effects to create fluid transitions; open and close filters for lush sweeps; and much more. Additionally, each knob is completely assignable for flexible mixing and mapping options.

APC Key 25 comes pre-mapped to Live for an instant performance and production setup. When APC Key 25 is plugged into your computer, its hardware controls correspond 1 to 1 with Ableton Live's interface - no additional configuring is required. For APC veterans, all of APC Key 25's controls can be re-assigned on the fly for customized setups that change with your performance or production style. Plus, APC Key 25 can also be used as a general MIDI controller to manipulate other software applications such as virtual instruments, plugins, and DAWs.

For maximum portability, APC Key 25 is powered over USB and supports plug-and-play connectivity; no power adapter or drivers needed. APC Key 25 also offers a smaller footprint than its APC counterparts, enabling musicians to use APC Key 25 alongside effects controllers and other APCs.

APC Key 25 comes packed with a version of Ableton Live, two high-definition virtual synthesizers, and professional samples and loops for immediate out-of-the-box music creation. Ableton Live Lite enables musicians and producers to spontaneously compose, record, remix, improvise, and edit musical ideas in a fluid audio/MIDI environment. Hybrid 3, by AIR Music Tech, is a high-definition synthesizer for electronic musicians, DJs, sound designers, and music producers who love to get their hands dirty. Create anything from fat, retro synth sounds to edgy, modern leads and everything in between. SONiVOX Twist is a spectral morphing synthesis virtual instrument. Comprised of a dynamic interface, an advanced pattern generator, and onboard effects, Twist lets you create serious sounds using simple controls. Toolroom Records artist launch packs bring you the coveted sounds of electronic music with a premium collection of sample packs, produced exclusively for Akai Professional. 25 velocity sensitive mini keyboard with built in arpeggiator and sustain, octave up/down & tap tempo controls
Notes: Melodic performance in the palm of your hand: the Akai LPK25 USB Laptop Performance keyboard is a USB-MIDI controller for musicians, producers, DJs and other music creators. It measures less than 13" across and weighs less than a pound to easily fit into a laptop case, backpack or messenger bag for extreme portability.

The Keyboard players who want to work with software on their computer will find that the LPK25 gives their laptop the keys they need to express themselves anywhere. The LPK25 is a scaled-down relative to the MPK series of keyboard performance controllers. The diminutive keyboard is made up of 25 miniature, velocity-sensitive keyboard keys with synth action. The LPK25 contains an arpeggiator, which steps through chords automatically, assisting musicians with creating quick melodic ideas. Sustain, octave up and down and tap tempo controls round out the LPK25's easy-to-learn layout. The LPK25 works plug and play with Mac and PC and requires no software driver installation or wall power for operation. It has four memory banks for programming and recalling settings appropriate to different software programs you use.
